MLG Aspen with online qualifiers

MLG has announced more details about the qualifying process for the X Games Aspen.

Europe, North America and Brazil will each have their own online qualifier running from December 8-21 to determine the last five teams that will be in attendance at the MLG event, in Aspen, Colorado, from January 23-25.

The top two teams from the European and the North American qualifiers, which will be organised by CEVO, and the winner of the Brazilian qualifier, hosted by MLG Brasil, will join NiP, fnatic and Cloud9, the three teams who have been invited to attend the main event.

In Europe and North America, the qualifying process will begin with two preliminary qualifiers, from which the final eight teams will take on eight invited sides in the Championship Qualifiers. The winner of each region's Championship Qualifiers will secure a spot at MLG X Games Aspen.

The Brazilian qualifiers will kick off with a 64-team preliminary tournament, from which the top four teams will face off against four invited sides in the region's Championship finals.

During the later stages of the qualifiers, fan can watch the matches on MLG.tv across all platforms available (www.MLG.tv, the MLG.tv app for Xbox 360 and Xbox One and the MLG.tv apps for iOS and Android devices).

maybe 10~20% chance... KabuM new line-up is still adapting and adjusting roles, training schedules, trying new strats that's why they got rekt. And this new line-up is much stronger than the last one at ESWC. At least 4 of 5 players in KabuM right now are top5 in Brazil.

My only wish is that this information came out sooner. ESEC is at the same time as the first qualifier, which means players will be away and can't play. Also as KRNG said, it's a faceit december qualifier at that day. Would've liked the qualifier to be moved to a better date, and that the information were out when they announced the LAN.

Well there is 2 qualifiers and they can probably reschedule. They probably had no knowledge of this.

Which again shows the effort put in? The chance of qualifing on just one of them are slim with the teams in the world attending. With 2 qualifiers the chances are much higher.
