Virtus.pro breeze past PENTA

Virtus.pro have made their way past PENTA 2-0 (16-9 de_cache, 16-5 de_mirage) to advance to the semi-finals at DreamHack Winter 2014.

To start their quarter-final against PENTA, Virtus easily won the opening pistol on de_cache and ran up a 3-0 lead. The Germans won two of the next six, and found themselves trailing 2-7.

A triple kill effort by Denis "denis" Howell in a two-on-four save round got PENTA their third round, but Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas replied with three M4A4 kills of his own in middle to make it 8-3.

With no money left in the bank due to trading rounds as terrorists, PENTA were forced to save and ultimately lost all four remaining rounds in the first half for a 3-12 score.

Second half started with denis winning a one-on-one in A, and Virtus.pro's force buy didn't pan out, as their lead was cut by one third, to 6-12, as the Poles saved.

denis put up a fight in the match but it wasn't enough

Then Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski's triple AK-47 round in B got them a round, and after a PENTA save, Virtus.pro attacked the A site successfully to force nine map points at 15-6.

Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend's team survived for three more rounds on their counter-terrorist side, but finally doubles by pashaBiceps and Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski closed the map out at 16-9.

Virtus.pro started the second map de_mirage just as strong, with Filip "NEO" Kubski's triple gaining them a 3-0 lead. PENTA won round four, but doubles from Snax and Paweł "byali" Bieliński broke their money.

Up 6-1, Virtus lost a round with Felix "fel1x" Zech and denis getting two each, but even a triple by Timo "Spiidi" Richter wasn't enough to string two together, as Virtus prevailed.

Once again forced to save, TaZ and NEO split the pot to extend Virtus.pro's lead to 10-2 with the Germans forced to save once again after the weapon round.

Virtus were dominant in thei quarter-final win

Virtus.pro won two more rounds to extend their lead to 12-2 before kRYSTAL was able to connect on three AWP kills around the A bombsite to make the half score 3-12.

PENTA's quick bombsite B rush saw them run over Virtus on the pistol round, but TaZ's two CZ-75 kills got the Poles within a one-on-one, but still lost to denis.

Virtus.pro went for anotehr force buy with pashaBiceps's two Scout kills giving them the win, and a quad M4A1-S kill by NEO extended the Polish side's lead to 14-5.

PENTA couldn't win any more rounds as Virtus.pro quickly devoured their semi-buy on the following round, and then byali's three kills secured them a 16-5 win.

Well, if u wanna beat VP you just have to win pistol rounds. No matter the map and side, if Vp gets pistol they just fly away with their momentum.

I think if they spend more time on strats, investigating other teams 's strats and keep being consistent, soon they will climb up to present top teams 's level, krystal and denis really impressed me in this tournament.
