LDLC beat Na`Vi in the semis

LDLC have advanced to the grand final at DreamHack Winter 2014 by defeating Natus Vincere 2-0 (16-11 de_inferno, 16-11 de_dust2).

Na`Vi won the opening pistol round on de_inferno, but LDLC quickly replied by taking round two. The force buys kept coming though, and the first eight rounds of the half were traded.

With LDLC up 4-3 on the terrorist side, Na`Vi started climbing back into the game. In the end, the mostly-Ukrainian side were able to score nine rounds on the defensive half.

LDLC won the second half pistol round, but Na`Vi's early buy saw them gain a new lead at 10-9. However, then LDLC seized control, and cruised to a convincing 16-11 win.

On de_dust2 Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt's CZ-75 propelled LDLC to a defensive pistol round win again. From that point on his team reigned supreme, as Na`Vi had no answers to their play.

shox & company advance to the grand final

Na`Vi's struggles reminded an old school fan of the disastrous SEC 2011 grand final against the Poles of AGAiN, when Danylo "⁠Zeus⁠" Teslenko and company couldn't figure out their aggressive play.

LDLC played aggressive and completely shut down Na`Vi in the half, allowing only two round wins in fifteen rounds of supposedly terrorist sided play to gain a dominant 13-2 lead.

Natus Vincere did their best to come back in the second half, but LDLC's CZ-75 play once again confused the ex-CIS team's defense, scoring them an early save round win.

LDLC's lead was cut to four rounds at 14-10, but a risky push by Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin into B tunnels cost Na`Vi a around, and two rounds later they were finished with a 16-11 score.

You make it sound as if filing a complaint was something to be ashamed of. It's very rare, it's the first time LDLC files one, and there was a perfectly valid reason for it. Most people would have filed a complaint in such a situation. Besides, how the hell is taking advantage of a glitch outsmarting anyone? Basically, at the time when nade boosting was possible, you would call the guys exploiting it "smart"? That's simply exploiting an unfair advantage, playing the game in a way it's not meant to be. Dreamhack took a decision, fnatic didn't approve the decision, they have only themselves to blame for forfeiting.

Did you see the difference between the two boosts? Fnatic also filed a complaint once they knew that LDLC's wasn't rejected. This kind of problem is a first in CS:GO, LDLC had no clue as to how it would be handled or if the boost was truly illegal, but in the case it was, it would have been stupid not to file a complaint. There's nothing wrong into wanting a fair fight, and you can't file a complaint in the middle of a game.
