99Damage Arena #2 announced

99Damage.de has revealed the participants' list for its second Arena Cup, featuring $2,500.

Powered by Dailymotion and Aoc, the 99Damage Arena cups are two-day tournaments featuring five teams and a King of the Hill format with four rounds, each one played in a best-of-three mode.

The winner of each round will advance to the next stage, where they will take on a new opponent. The prize for every win will increase by $250 after every round all the way to the last one, which will feature $1,000.

As the winner of the first edition, mousesports got to pick the tournament stage in which they wanted to start, and the chose the fourth round, meaning they will fight for just $1,000.

According to the tournament rules, the team who make the most money in total (not necessarily the one who win the final match) will be crowned Arena Champion and receive an invite for the following edition of the tournament.

Below you can find a picture that will help you understand how the system works:

For the second edition of the tournament, 99Damage also invited Clutchit.org, the new Norwegian team featuring former London Conspiracy duo Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel and Håvard "rain" Nygaard, 3DMAX, myXMG and PENTA Sports. Below you can see how the match-ups look like:

Match #1 Norway Clutchit.org vs. Finland 3DMAX $250
Match #2 Winner Match #1 vs. Denmark myXMG $500
Match #3 Winner Match #2 vs. Germany PENTA Sports
$750
Match #4 Winner Match #3 vs. Europe mousesports $1000

Stay tuned for coverage of 99damage.de Arena Cup #2, which will be played from December 8-9.

that absoulutely makes no sense. and im prouf or esports scene is completely in sambles. i mean im a dork and i enjoy the game buy im glad our youth is not spending their time in front of computers. and the only reason german scene bores me to tears is that there are literally no germans on german teams.

It is very good point. Healthy sign for the scene, csgo is big enough that I expect in 2015 to see many smaller tournaments that t1 simply won't attend.

Yea, every tournament where LDLC, NIP, VP, Fnatic are in. I feel no hope for the smaller teams. I think they feel the same sometimes :/

Indeed, small tournaments are very important for a continuous growth of the csgo scene.

they were crowned the arena champion in the previous one (due to cphw being unable to play), so they got an invite for this one

Norwegian team? Ok this is the deal. Get a good manager. Get a good partner. And bring this lineup to Europe. prb REAL stingeR elemeNt ooPS Then we will finaly have a team. the old LC lost against FlipSid3 on DH Qual. And LC was the "BEST" in Norway... eSportCS:GO in Norway is dead if we dont bring some legends into the game like HeatoN did with NiP
