ESEA S18 with $100,000 for CS:GO
ESEA has announced that it will give away $100,000 across its CS:GO divisions held all over the world in season 18.
With the ESEA S17 LAN Finals kicking off in just a few hours, the North American organisation has announced the first details about the upcoming season, which will feature a prize pot of over $100,000 - a considerable increase when compared the current season's $78,000 pool.
The Brazilian CS:GO Open division has been resurrected for the new season, though it is still unclear whether there will be any links between it and the LAN Finals of the global division, which has so far featured teams from Europe and North America.
Other changes from season 17 to 18 are a new recruitment section to find teams and players, and the increased number of league servers that run on new hardware, which will facilitate scheduling availability.
More information about the new ESEA season, including the prize pool breakdown, relegations and promotions, and the map rotation will be announced in the coming weeks.
The registration period for ESEA season 18 is already open and will remain so until January 5.
