Gfinity 2015 events announced

Gfinity have come forward with a schedule and prize pool for LAN events from March to September in 2015.

The UK-based organisation recently announced an event filled season with frequent tournaments being held for games such as CS:GO, Halo, Call of Duty, Starcraft II, and Hearthstone. The full schedule can be found here.

CS:GO will have four dedicated majors throughout the season, each with a prize purse of $20,000, and one open tournament as well. For each major, the travel and accomodation costs will be fully provided for by Gfinity. The prize pool for the open tournament will be announced on the 12th of December.

More CS:GO action in store at Gfinity events in 2015

The dates of the CS:GO events are as such:

Date Tournament Prize Pool
21-22 March CS:GO Spring Major 1 $20,000
16-17 May CS:GO Spring Major 2 $20,000
27-28 June CS:GO Summer Major 1 $20,000
25-26 July CS:GO Open Announced 12/12
15-16 August CS:GO Summer Major 2 $20,000

CS:GO is also confirmed at the Gfinity Championship LAN 2015 about which information is still forthcoming.

It was an issue with the security guards being held past their scheduled time due to delays/overtime games.

The building was rented for the weekend. But the security team was only rented to 11 or 12 midnight. By law nobody was allowed to be inside without the security so... Hope they don't forget that this time around.

Fnatic will either disband or get vaced and then disband. Or stop cheating and become a top10 team. Another top french team will form and rise to the top (as good as ldlc) and nip will start winning more again.

For saying NiP will start winning more again? Anyone with half a brain would realize that they will play better next 6 months than they have done the last 6 months. But I guess your name says a lot

Not historically. They are currently adapting to a new player and a new play style, which seems very promising if you look at dhw results

will be better if they make only 1 big event for csgo (with 100,000+ prize pool) together with Valve (with stickers, pick em badge, etc.) and in this way csgo will have 3 big majors divided by 3 every 4 months: GFinity (spring), ESL One (summer), Dreamhack (winter), no? :D

I feel like 3 majors are way below CSGO's potential. 4 majors are the minimum next year and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw 4 majors with 250k or 500k prize pool and on top of that an International with a multi million dollar prizepool, so 5 valve sponsored tournaments.

Csgo manager say in an interview that they will make something similar to international, where everybody can buy a ticket to watch GOTV or other bonuses and increase the amount of prize pool, its will be interesting to see how much it go far, specially if csgo have 4KK players, i like it even if they call it Internation CS:GO :D hahaha

yes, or 2 with 40k but this will piss teams off, there will be too much matches for qualifications only for these events, add to this all the other things (faceit, esea, fragbite, majors, hitbox, ...)

it was the worst lan in 2014, tons of delays, no streams for a lot of good matches (like nip vs epsilon), and they invited 2 bad uk teams.

Bad decision to split up the events into this many. CS:GO scene is starting to get tired of tournaments with less than 30-50k pricepools. Especially after the gazillion 40-50k ones we've had recently. I'm sure it would be better for everyone if they arranged half as many with 40k pricepool for each.

Sick from Gfinity. A regular circuit with solid prize money, just wish they'd added a big major toward the end for everything to build up to. ie. 4 minors (20k prize pools) + 1 open event Then at the end of the circuit have a major with like a 100k prize pool, and accumulating teams with invites selected from each minor alongside some sort of qualifier for the rest/fan vote for amateur teams.
