CLG to expand to CS:GO

Counter Logic Gaming owner George "HotshotGG" Georgallidis has revealed that the organisation is looking to expand to CS:GO "very soon".

Founded in April 2010, CLGL's LoL team were one of the dominant sides during the early days of the game, when they won WCG and IEM VI's Global Challenge Cologne, and finished fifth in Riot's very first Championship.

Just one month after recruiting a Halo team, featuring the likes of Tom "Ogre2" Ryan and Richie "Heinz" Heinz, CLG will continue to break new ground, and CS:GO is a strong possibility, the organisation's owner has said.

"We're looking at all avenues. Right now we're really interested in CS:GO and Dota 2, and hopefully we'll be expanding to those areas very soon," Georgallidis told ongamers.com.

there's been some talk about the NA scene going through some rosters changes, so it's possible that there will be a few players left out and those players could make a new top 3 NA team.

Looking at how multinational many LoL teams are, I don't think they, as an NA org, would have any problem with sponsoring an EU team if it meant better chances at success.

Getting bored of the same teams over and over, recycled from one org to another. Hopefully CLG can come in with something original. Still think the Asian market needs to be penetrated so the game can move forward; otherwise growth will end up stagnating.

I think their best bet is a Swedish team. There's a load of Swedish free agent talent around, some better than others, that could make a top 10 team easily.
