mSpaz win G2A Cup over iBUYPOWER

mouseSpaz have defeated iBUYPOWER 3-2 (21-19 de_dust2, 12-16 de_cache, 3-16 de_inferno, 16-12 de_nuke, 16-8 de_season) to win G2A December Cup.

Tarik "⁠tarik⁠" Celik's mouseSpaz took down LunatiK in the quarter-finals with a 2-1 score, and then advanced to the grand final with a dominant 3-0 win over Torqued.

On the other side of the bracket, iBUYPOWER lost no maps as they plowed through eLevate and Denial to clinch a grand final spot with Spencer "⁠Hiko⁠" Martin as a stand-in.

Hiko couldn't help iBUYPOWER defeat mouseSpaz

In the grand final mouseSpaz won an overtime battle on de_dust2, but then fell short on de_cache, and were dominated on de_inferno with a 3-16 scoreline in iBP's favor.

iBUYPOWER couldn't close the series out on de_nuke, as they lost 12-16, and were then easily defeated on the fifth map de_season, as mSpaz cruised to a 16-8 win.

It seems once an NA team starts to have some success internationally, they begin to lose domestically to inferior opponents. Same thing happened to Cloud9. All signs point to the NA playstyle being toxic and counter productive to international success but if a team wants to make it to international lans, they need to play the NA way first. What a vicious cycle.

1st time i've watched a competitive game on season and it was pretty bad. some nice frags by mouse spaz though.

I honestly still think iBP is top 1 NA. The thing is that the more iBP is practicing against euros and getting better at it, the less good they get when they play against NA. I think the way both side play the games makes it hard to stay good at strating for both. Both have really different gameplay.
