ESEA Invite S18 teams, poll open

ESEA have announced eight teams taking part in their Invite Season 18 league and opened up a poll for the last team between LGB (ex-LC), CPH Wolves, Orbit and Flipsid3.

Nine teams will participate in the ESEA Invite Season 18 league, eight of which have been directly invited by the organizers, while the last spot will be decided by the community.

The organizers stressed that both NiP and dignitas have not been considered as one of the invited teams due to dropping out of the last season prematurely. Here are the eight teams with direct invites:

Na`Vi	PENTA	ESC	unu.AiN

LGB, the former London Conspiracy team, CPH Wolves, Orbit and Flipsid3 have a chance to get into the league as well, the community can vote for their favourite teams in the poll here in the next 48 hours.

why'd they drop out? bc they were preparing for other tournaments? i guess it might be the same for LDLC but for Hell that is very weird they are usually playing all those small tournaments.

Where to start? The players left myXMG because myXMG couldn't send them to the ACER event in Germany (not Denmark) and instead Reason (their old sponsors) said they could send them to Germany for the ACER LAN. Get your info straight, thanks.

ESC shitty team? Almost won against NiP on lan (ye almost, but that's a worthy achievment) and won 3 maps against Na'vi(+ one 14-16). UNU.AIN i dont know their lineup, if it's reason then they seem to be a talented team aswell. You can't just drop out of tournament and play whenever you want to in these league systems.

What? Let dignitas destroyed another ESEA LAN again for how many seasons in a row now? 2? 3? Fuck dignitas, this went on too long. ESEA has a business to deal with and if dignitas wants to join leagues to lan dodge then they can do that elsewhere that won't care.

oh yeah, you're right, they've dodged esea every single season they've qualified, haven't they? but still, why not nip? the only reason nip dropped out was because they failed miserably, and had a 0% of qualifying, and therefore saw no purpose to play their last games even inviting cph wolves would be more reassuring, rather than inviting a team without a organization.

They dropped out season 15 after like 2 weeks from registration closing and they dropped out last season. It destroys the integrity of the league to have a team drop out mid way through. For example some teams got two 16-0 wins since they had not played nip yet meanwhile other teams got one 16-0 win and the other played and other teams were punished for having the schedule where they played nip earlier on.

He just critized the way ESEA pays out their money, I think he wanted sign a contract before with the event and send money to the organization, and not the manager because managers have stolen money in the past. The boycott thing was about some russian tournaments who didnt payout to the dota team vp got the money
