Rising Stars Asia #1 announced

A new online tournament called Rising Stars Asia has been unveiled, featuring $1,000 and four teams from the Asian continent.

Rising Stars Asia is a new monthly online tournament hosted by E-frag.net and sponsored by Hitbox that is aimed at giving CS:GO teams from this continent more exposure and the opportunity to make some money in the process.

The tournament will use a double-elimination format, with every match using a best-of-three system except the final, which will use a best-of-five system with a one-map advantage for the team coming from the Upper Bracket.

For the first edition of the tournament, running from January 23-25, the organisation invited Chinese trio of Defuse - who feature two members of the pow team that attended ESWC 2014 -, NFace and ZZCY, as well as Vietnamese side Team Skyred.

Ah ok, couldn't really remember the names because I haven't see them in action since then, but they were pretty good. Hopefully the Asian CS:GO scene will grow, would be nice to have some events where teams from other continents are contenders for the title aswell, not only invited like ESWC to go out in the groupstage without a win. (Although the exposure is nice for teams from like South-Africa, Algeria and Australia).
