ESWC release Masters pre-list

ESWC have released a list of candidate teams to attend the ESWC Masters 4-6th of July in Paris, France.

The Masters event will be a second chance for those who should fail to qualify through their National qualifier. Palais Ominisports of Paris will be the surrounds for ESWC Masters, just as it was for ESWC 2006.

ESWC Masters will have a total of 20 teams, where 4 of them will be local French teams, and the rest international teams. The event will not just be a second chance for the teams to qualify for ESWC Grand Finals in San Jose, USA, it also has a total prize purse of $24,500 for Counterstrike.

ESWC has released a list containing 16 international teams who may possibly attend the Masters event. Teams have until Tuesday 13th of May to apply for a spot in the tournament. The Final list will be available to the public on the 20th of May.

A team like MYM is yet not on the list. The team will be attending KODE5 Global Finals, while ESWC Poland will have its finals the same weekend. Should be interesting to see which other teams should decide to apply for ESWC Masters. ESWC Masters will be covered by HLTV.org.

Polish qualifier for ESWC and KODE5 will however be in the same weekend.

i wanted TEK9 for belgium there a real belgian team ... why no fnatic ? was there last year something like a grand final in san jose i cant remember i thought all the great teams where going to france

there is the benelux quali in enschede next week ;) were the dutch and belgian teams will play for a spot in eswc master. So it's possible that we have two belgian teams at the masters

Think they all qualified for KODE5 Finals, and it's in the same weekend as ESWC, so we'll have to see who's going to be on KODE5 and who's going to ESWC! ;)
