IeSF World Ch'ship 7 with CS:GO
The International e-Sports Federation (IeSF) has announced that CS:GO will be played at the upcoming World Championship.
The first details about the 7th E-Sports World Championship, to be held in the Polish city of Łódź later this year, have just been announced by IeSF, with CS:GO and Dota 2 being the first two games to be selected by the 43 national federations that comprise the organisation.
This is the first time in the history of IeSF that CS is picked for a World Championship. According to the South Korea-based organisation, CS:GO was selected "with recommendation of most national federations."
Details about the World Championship are still scarce, but it is believed that there will be national qualifiers taking place all over the world to determine the teams that will attend the main event.
While participation in this event is "open to all people regardless of gender, age or disabilities", according to IeSF, international rosters are not allowed in the tournaments, which means that teams like Titan, HellRaisers, Na`Vi or Cloud9 are not eligible to compete.
