LGB qualify for FACEIT League 2015

LGB eSports have qualified for FACEIT League 2015 after beating No Problem! 2-0 in the closed qualifier (16-14 on de_cache, 16-8 on de_mirage).

LGB, who were created only a few weeks ago by putting together two former London Conspiracy members and three up-and-coming Norwegian talents, had secured a place in FACEIT's closed qualifier after finishing in the top two of the first open qualifier, together with mousesports.

Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel's side turned in a convincing display in the first round of the closed qualifier and moved past the new HellRaisers team 2-1 after losing the first map of the series.

Against No Problem!, led by former Copenhagen Wolves talent Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, the match was at first plagued by DDoS attacks and network issues, with Morten "zEVES" Vollan Christensen accusing the Danish team of pulling all sorts of tricks to get the upper hand.

Shortly after the game was taken off stream, it was resumed without further incidents, and in the end LGB came out on top with a 16-14 victory on de_cache and a 16-8 success on de_mirage.

The other semi-final of the qualifier, between GPlay and Na`Vi, is expected to be played soon, although there has not been any word from FACEIT on the date.

LGB join the following list of participants for FACEIT League 2015:

Another fixed match? Game token offline and suddenly there is no re-recording at all. Pretty suspicious for me.

So I guess there is demo or Vod so I can see this match was really played. Faceit admins reliability is not great with having history allowing cheaters continue in qualifiers etc.

Yeah, matchfixing when the favourite team wins. Your logic is so good.

Because Matchfixers will always follow the same pattern. Might be for skins, money or even the league spot. I know that I have to be wrong here but if the game is really gone I cant close the possibility.

>After the game was taken off stream, it was resumed without further incidents A small mistake. Zeves' post on facebook: "I find it a bit suspicious that the streamer knew the exact time we went live again, even when Faceit stopped the stream, gotv and scorebots he still got ddosed at the exact time we went live in the match again." So they still got DDoSed when they went off stream, and that's what's sop suspicious. I don't know how the DDoSing stopped, though.

Great job LGB, and also thanks for proving me right in the process <3 This league will give them much needed experience and practice against the top teams. If you want to become the best, you have to beat the best. It will be a steep learning curve I'm sure, and some haters will laugh if they get trashed in some matches. But in the end it will only help them progress as a team and to one day soon become top 10. With this continuous practice against top teams, I'm sure qualifying for majors will be way easier. Hopefully we'll see them as early as in Katowice! Just always remember, LGB: Even if you get stomped by Fnatic or someone else and people are taking a stab at you, the only way you can become a top team yourself is to face the top dogs over and over again. And eventually you will have adapted and evolved your game to a point where you can give them a fight. GLHF on your journey. (And get us some stickers!!)

Poor dAT team, they played 2+ maps with WorldEdit getting ddosed, after then with stand-in. That's the only reason they lost.
