Warden, desi in ex-IBP for Clutch Con

The Clutch Con organisers have confirmed that the former iBUYPOWER team will be in attendance at the event with two last-minute changes.

The North American giants were due to attend MLG X Games Aspen last weekend but pulled out of the event just days before its start after new evidence of the players allegedly losing a CEVO match on purpose was revealed.

Questions about the team's attendance at Clutch Con, which will take place this weekend, were immediately raised, especially after Spencer "⁠Hiko⁠" Martin revealed that he was already looking for a new challenge after a brief spell with the FACEIT League runners-up.

Shahrad "IndependenT" Shahseta, who works as an Operations Manager for Clutch Con, has now put an end to all speculation by confirming that the team will be in attendance at the event, albeit with two stand-ins as Sam "⁠DaZeD⁠" Marine is also nowhere to be seen.

To fill the two vacant posts, the team will field Derek "⁠desi⁠" Branchen, who played for iBP at DreamHack Winter as a stand-in, and former eLevate member Matt "⁠Warden⁠" Dickens, who joined Liquid as coach last week.

ex-IBP have been drawn in Clutch Con Group's C, alongside Torqued, WinOut and HellsGamers. The team will attend the event with:

Tyler "⁠Skadoodle⁠" Latham
Braxton "⁠swag⁠" Pierce
Matt "⁠Warden⁠" Dickens (stand-in)

Any of the players are allowed to play so far since no actions have really been taken against but this instance. Hiko and dazed couldn't attend for personal reasons while the former 3 are going with 2 standins just for this lan.

Hiko has just confirmed on his stream (wether its true or not) that DaZeD simply didn't want to go (probably due to the expensive tickets, hotels etc that apparently they have to personally pay) and Hiko didnt want to go there as a pug team without DaZeD nad once again he also didn't want to pay for the last minute ticket, hotel etc...
