Four invited for Katowice qualifier

The Electronic Sports League has announced the first four invited teams for the LAN qualifier for ESL One Katowice.

Earlier today, ESL revealed that it will host an offline qualifier for ESL One Katowice, to take place from February 14-15 in the very same Polish city of the upcoming $250,000 major and with 16 teams in attendance.

Half of those participants will come from a series of online qualifiers that will be held over the course of next week, while the remaining half will be invited by ESL itself.

The first batch of invited teams for the tournament consist of French duo Titan and Epsilon, Polish side ESC Gaming and the new dignitas team, who were previously known as Deponeret.

The first four invited teams for the offline qualifier for ESL One Katowice are the following:

They're just taking up space in the euro qual tbh if they have their own, seeing as no other polish team comes on esc's level, other than vp who are better. It would make more sense for them to invite another euro team for the euro qual, maybe lgb or something

is there enough talent tho? If 3 polish teams are in, theres still 13 others, +8 already qualified, shouldnt be "taking up space" tbh. So 21 teams, + 3 polish teams including ESC.

for example at this moment dAT team is better than Epsilon, Mousesports it's kinda at the same level, Copenhagen Wolves are on the same level too, x6tence can fight with them aswell, 3DMAX with allu aswell, and there more that I don't remember at this moment.

Should really only be top 5-6 from the last major that automatically goes through to the next, this makes it a lot harder for up and coming teams to show their worth and it also makes the top of the scene much more closed.

You can't make it 5-6, its either 8 or 4. And if you do not include the quarterfinalists (meaning you drop it to 4), I am pretty sure TSM, HR, fnatic will destroy anything in qualifiers anyways.

There wont be any more invites they said they will be hosting "a series of online qualifiers that will be held over the course of next week". Any team can enter they just have to be approved by ESL. If c9 were to enter, which they will, they will have to go through the NA qualifiers.
