NiP tops Group B at ASUS ROG

NiP have topped their group after defeating 3DMAX 16:2 on de_nuke.

NiP took first place in their group and move onto the semifinals. The Swedes dismantled 3DMAX on home soil with strong play on de_nuke, winning 16:2.

NiP were the first to advance to the group's first place decider after easily taking down mousesports 16:5 on de_cache. Shortly after, they were joined by 3DMAX who defeated Titan in an underdog thriller 16:13 on de_mirage.

The map of contention for the first place decider was to be de_nuke.

NiP showcased a pristine CT side vs. 3DMAX

With NiP starting on the favoured CT side, they were able to string together an impressive half and garner thirteen rounds. Christopher "⁠GeT_RiGhT⁠" Alesund had a notable one-on-two with a Nova which stopped an early attempt at gaining momentum by 3DMAX.

Joona "⁠natu⁠" Leppänen's 3DMAX could not get a CT side going in the end

After halftime, 3DMAX began their counter-attack however their loss of the pistol round put them on the back foot. After that, NiP moved forward with easily won rounds to advance 16:2.

This was frustrating to watch. Every time 3DMAX created an opening, they just stood wherever the frag occurred and took ages figuring out what to do, thus allowing NiP to reorganize to make up for their lost player. All those countless failed yard rushes weren't too fun to watch either. I think if 3DMAX had tried some different tactics and not been as surprised when something went right, they could've at least put up 8 or 9 rounds.

What are you basing his consistency around? He missed 3 shots and all of a sudden he has consistency issues from 1 round as opposed to his performance at DH. Please GET a clue and stop posting clueless thoughts and assumptions.
