We've got an interview with a relieved Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez, whose Titan were the last to advance to playoffs after a nail-biting match against 3DMAX.

Titan were knocked down to the lower bracket of group B when they took a beating from 3DMAX on de_mirage yesterday. They had next to no trouble with sending mousesports home, but the decider was a nail-biter.

Titan were down 1-7 as Counter-Terrorists before they took a stand and slowly started coming back into the match before managing to close it out at 16-12 with a very solid ten-round Terorrist side.

Maniac reckons RpK's peak could be anywhere

A very relieved Mathieu "⁠Maniac⁠" Quiquerez gave us some answers considering their two matches with 3DMAX and the upcoming semi-final with PENTA before getting to the team's decision to leave the gaming house.

Based on your ignorance no matter what they do would be enough to make them a "good team" to you. If they let up 10 rounds but have complete control of a game you still wouldn't consider it a good game. The point of a good team is to be consistent and skilled and making into the semis, regardless of how its done, shows that they are.

If they stop getting plowed by T2 teams then they'll be a good team again. Until then they're none of the things you mentioned.

LDLC lost to CLG, VP lost to penta, fnatic lost to HR, etc etc Guess what, upsets happen in bo1. Look at titan's past results, one online loss against dat and a bo1 close loss against 3dmax, all the rest wins, i dont see how they keep "getting plowed by T2 teams"

What does it matter if they lose random bo1 online matches. If they consistently make it to semi-finals of majors, which is regarded as the ultimate show of skill. LDLCs loss at MLG meant nothing, absolutely nothing, in the grand scheme of their eventual win. The only thing that it changed was CLGs chance to advance in the tournament. The same thing goes for Titan. These bo1s you see them losing or winning by small margins don't show how they'll actually when everything is on the line.

When Maniac finishes his studies I would love to see him getting into a couching, managing or leader role for Titan or another team. Not the most natural talent in the world as a player but way smarter than most top players and even smarter than some of the best tacticians.

Usually the players with less greater aim are strategically smart etc. This is naturally because they can't just out aim the enemy and they need to find an alternative way to win the enemy. Having a team with 5 good aimers won't take you long, as you saw with the old lineup of HR. Every team needs their maniac / fifflaren / natu etc :D

"The french support player" pls, that guy play solo and as a lurker most of times... being at the bottom of the scoreboard won't make him a support player.
