starix: "We're going through a crisis"

Sergey "starix" Ischuk issued a VLOG on Na`Vi's YouTube channel, saying that the team is going through a crisis and that "his results are being questioned within the team".

Sergey "⁠starix⁠" Ischuk's Natus Vincere have been consistently placing in the top four at most events they attended in in 2014, excluding the first two majors of the year, EMS One Katowice and ESL One Cologne.

They haven't attended too many bigger events though, but on both events with most world's best teams they've been to in the last few months, Natus Vincere was able to get into the semi-finals.

starix's future will be at stake in Katowice

Despite that it looks like the remainder of the team is not satisfied with starix's form of late, and from what the player said in the following VLOG, his future stands on the team's result at ESL One Katowice.

He even said the team is "going through some sort of a crisis", apparently due to the team's inability to compete with three of the current best teams in the world, fnatic, LDLC and NiP.

The Ukrainian veteran has been a part of Natus Vincere since the creation of the team in early 2010 back in Counter-Strike 1.6, which makes him and Danylo "⁠Zeus⁠" Teslenko one of the longest standing duos in the game's history.

They will first take s1mple in after esl cologne since he can compete at DHW. I think they will change out starix with worledit, and after cologne they will probably change out zeus with s1mple

Seized as an igl was an experiment, which dramatically failed. No need to call somebody a r*tard. Both s1mple and WE are more comfortable with an awp, it is just that s1mple's rifling abilities are much higher than those you would expect from an awp'er. dAT currently plays double awp set-up even on T sides of the maps, exception being inferno where AWP T-side is a very 'niche' weapon. That being sad, despite all your reasoning, I have to agree with #38 and say 'what'? Those roster changes are some Cashtour line-up

Seized was igl for 3 weeks and na`vi started losing to 3rd tier teams. Now he is no longer their igl. Also s1mple's main role is awper. However he is better both at awp and rifle than worldedit so he uses rifle now.

Not that their results have been better after changing back. Tactics have been merely the same anyway if you look at demos and VoDs. Seized could probably igl anyway.

If they make this move they will become much worse. Their only problem is playing like idiots (rushing, pushing for no reason, general impatience on CT side) which cannot be mended by replacing a role player like Starix. The best way is to simply work at achieving better discipline within the team through communication. Another option is to remove zeus and get a new captain who would change the approach to the game altogether, but this would be a horrible choice imo.

S1mples original role is rifler / secondary awper. He was only main awper in HR. He is also a much better, and more consistent rifler than markeloff and bondik.

And, to what VP's recent results are you referring ? fnatic lost the first BO3 against VP in ESEA upper bracket finals, but in the end they've won 2 straight bo3's against them in the Grand Final. In DreamHack Winter, VP got a higher place because they've played against the weakest possible team in quarter-finals PENTA eSports, while fnatic lost against eventual DH Winter champions. And do i even need to mention that fnatic won previous events before DH Winter - ESWC and FACEIT finals (sending VP packing in semi-fnals).

idiot or bad troll? tsm raped fnatic 1 week ago in b03 at mlg on secured server (cevo ac) so ofc tsm>fnatic esea lan was not secured, no esea ac and despite that vp won 1 bo3 + better results at dhw eswc was not secured and the same for face it (just stadnard local lan server) so like you see all fnatic victories was on only not secured events (vac is not a security in practice). ofc not secured MINOR events mean shit while majors and secured events mean much more. fnatic is not even top5 now when at last 2 events one was secured and they got raped by all eu teams and at dhw got punished for cheating and only top8. Also titan raped them recently. FNATIC is top6 AT BEST NOW even if they are clean (which is not true cuz they are dirty for 99,9%)

Na'Vi haven't been operating good as a team lately and you can't really single one or two people for it. Everyone besides GuardiaN have been under-performing in the majority of the time. They have been obviously looking for a solution with putting seized as an IGL but considering he's the least experienced of everyone.. that didn't make any sense. Zeus was either tired,stuck or didn't want to be an IGL anymore. We don't really know what's going on in the team them besides their evidently weak performances. The only clear thing is that they're stuck and will probably make roster changes after Katowice. I seriously can't see how in their current state they'll be able to do anything big in the tournament.

They have a sick lineup they just don't focus on CS:GO as much as they should. A lot of them are doing side stuff like Starix playing a shit tons of Dota, Edward is like HeatoN promoting stuff, ZeuS is doing his stuff too, nothing comes for free if you don't invest yourself it won't pay off. I love this team but seriously you (all players) have to wake up.

-Guardian +markeloff i know guardian is 10x the player markeloff is right now but i don't think fraggin is Na`Vi's problem ATM, if you look at the year Na`Vi dominated in 1.6 there teamwork was fucking insane and the timing of there team peaks and pinching was next level. i honestly think communication problems is Na`Vi's biggest down fall right now. just my 2cents
