Epsilon release Uzzziii & fxy0

Epsilon are currently in hot water following allegations from former ex-member Robin "⁠GMX⁠" Stahmer that the team lost an ESEA match against OverGaming on purpose to profit from weapon skins sold by friends on CSGOLounge.

After the scandal was brought to light, Epsilon decided to suspend the team pending the outcome of an investigation into the matter conducted by ESEA together with Valve.

Last night, Joey "⁠fxy0⁠" Schlosser announced via Facebook that he had received a one-year ban from all major tournaments following his role in the match-fixing incident.

And Epsilon have now announced that they have parted ways with fxy0 and Kevin "⁠Uzzziii⁠" Vernel, leaving Adil "⁠ScreaM⁠" Benrlitom, who, according to GMX, was not in on the fix, as the only player still tied to the organisation.

"As of today, fxy0 and Uzzziii have been released from Epsilon eSports," a statement from Epsilon reads.

"The latest elements and statements we have received clearly condemn the player in the match-fixing accusation.

"We would like to thank Valve for keeping us informed during the entire process.

"The sole player left, Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, will continue to represent Epsilon, and we will discuss what we plan next alongside his Manager, Olivier “Olriko” Hamon."

With Epsilon due to attend the offline qualifier for ESL One Katowice next week, it seems very likely that they will pull out of the tournament as a result of these departures.
