fnatic beat nV to win FPL challenge

Hosted by fragbite together with underwear fashion brand Björn Borg, the FPL Challenge featured four European teams, who battled it out for the top prize of 40,000 SEK (approximately $4,900).

Powered by the IOS Pantamera title, fnatic were the first team to secure a place in the FPL Challenge grand final after fending off the threat of EnVyUs in the Upper Bracket final by a 2-0 scoreline.

The former LDLC team then picked themselves up and beat an LGB side fielding two stand-ins, Kenneth "⁠REASTEN⁠" Kristiansen and Preben "⁠prb⁠" Gammelsæter, on just two maps to get a shot at revenge for their previous defeat.

With the side and veto advantages after coming from the Upper Bracket, fnatic got off to a flying start in the series and moved past EnVyUs 16-7 on de_inferno after picking up a 10-5 lead on the CT side. de_cache was a much closer affair, as the Frenchmen had a 9-6 lead at the end of first half, but Markus "⁠pronax⁠" Wallsten's men were able to clinch the victory in the very last round to scoop the top prize of the tournament.
