NiP: "Loaning out Maikelele an option"

Ninjas in Pyjamas CEO Per Lilliefelth has refused to rule out the possibility of loaning Mikail "Maikelele" Bill out to another organisation.

Mikail "⁠Maikelele⁠" Bill's future in NiP currently hangs in the balance as the team will be trialing some players in the course of the next days to determine whether they can assemble a stronger line-up, citing a lack of experience from the former LGB and SK Gaming member.

The Swedish AWPer is currently playing for Orbit at the Nordic Masters as a stand-in, and at the event he posted a tweet hinting that he had left NiP.

Maikelele's future is in NiP's hands

And while Per Lilliefelth underlined that Maikelele remains contracted to NiP, he did not close the door on letting the AWPer join another organisation on a temporary deal.

"I think he means that he didn’t initiate this himself but that the other players want to try other alternatives," NiP's CEO told Aftonbladet.

"He’s on a contract with us and could eventually be loaned out. He has a contract, so he can’t leave if we don’t release him."

It's entirely different, on cs you play with the same 4 guys over and over again, you have to communicate all the time, motivate each other all the time, spend free-time together, possibly even live together. Things like this aren't good for chemistry between the players. In sports you don't really generally have a group of 5 people that are tied together.

Maikelele was one of their best and most vital players and yet NiP basically wiped their hands with him. The issue with this whole situation is not that NIP wants to try another player. Being with Fiff for so long leaves a big hole to fill and they are friends outside of the game.EVEN if Maikel has done well in NIP, better then Fiff most of the times. There must be chemistry and skill. BUT! The big problem is how it is communicated to the community. It is very unprofessional towards Maikel and to fans etc. There is tons of questions unanswered. The so called "official statement" just left everyone with more questions. Maikel applied to an impossible job, has done it well and deserves respect for what hes done. So far NONE of the players have backed him or said anything. And the message from the CEO is just pure BS. "We can keep him even if we dont want him". Ive always rooted for NIP and this is handled so, so poorly. And all this a month before Katowice....
