webSPELL lose team

webSPELL have announced that their CS:GO team have decided to quit the organisation.

The news comes just days after webSPELL won Cap Arena 4 over Queen Consolidated - the latest in a series of good results the team have been able to string together.

Since their creation, in early January, the French team were also able to finish second at Insalan X while they currently sit fifth in ESEA Main on a 5-3 record.

And while webSPELL made no mention of the reasoning behind the team's departure, it is believed that the players are on the verge of joining another organisation as they wish to scale greater heights.

"It is with a lot of regret that we announce that our players are leaving webSPELL," a statement from the organisation read.

"Our regrets are about the project we wanted to build with this very interesting team.

"But we wish them good luck in the new adventure waiting for them. We hope to have a new team soon."

Well it might be true or it might not be. There is currenrlty a second French team that is 7-1 in ESEA Main. That would look like a more promising team. P.S I have one question, how did this make it on HLTV? I mean the acquiring of the team didn't but the losing of the team did?

they got 3 walkovers, and lost to webspell? not saying they aint good. their star player matHEND, currently runs on hes 3rd steamACC, on esea, not sure why, but steamcommunity.com/id/izihikilei/ could be a reason :D but i would not go for that team.

It's not explicit , someone asked why this has been posted and not the part where the org picked up the team , the mod replied that they actually did post that aswell. I'll make my own decision on what I do next time thanks. And, it begs the question, why was the pickup newsworthy? Where is the barrier between professional teams and amateur teams? The only person of note in ex-webspell is mistou, who was in Epsilon(?) for a very short amount of time, being by far the worst player, and ultimately getting dropped from the team. The rest of the team are probably completely unknown outside of very small french lans. I just don't think it's necessary to post news about 5th tier teams that can't even be considered close to professional lineups.
