Hendrik "strux1" Goetzendorff has announced that he has parted ways with PENTA Sports.

The news comes less than 24 hours after PENTA turned in a disappointing performance in EPS Spring Cup #1, in which they were eliminated in the semi-final stage following a 13-16 defeat against KILLERFISH, who would go on to win the tournament.

Hendrik "⁠strux1⁠" Goetzendorff joined PENTA in December together with Planetkey Dynamics team-mate Johannes "⁠nex⁠" Maget and helped the team to reach the semi-finals of ASUS ROG Winter after beating Virtus.pro and HellRaisers in the group stage.

With PENTA due to attend ESL One Katowice next month, strux1 has revealed that internal differences have made him call time on his spell on the team.

"My attitude and mentality and those of the other players on PENTA are too different, which means I will part ways with the team," he wrote on Facebook.

"Anyway, I wish them good luck in Katowice and hope they will pass the group stage again."

PENTA, who will face fnatic and CPH Wolves tonight with a stand-in, who has not yet been determined, now have:

Robs3n was disqualified from ESL by Valve because their was a pending investigation on the alleged throw against Volgare. Doubt he will be allowed to attend just because a team change. Who knows if Valve will ban robs3n like the other banned players that are banned. It is a big risk to sign a player who risks being banned at any moment, and I seriously doubt that PENTA will take that risk.
