Official: NiP sign allu

Ninjas in Pyjamas have announced that they have secured the services of Aleksi "allu" Jalli for ESL One Katowice.

The Finnish talent has joined NiP on a short-term deal with a view to signing a permanent contract should he manage to impress at the upcoming major, next month.

He had been playing for NiP as a stand-in for the last week and was favoured over Marcus "⁠Delpan⁠" Larsson, who also played for the team on trial.

Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli, who will step into the shoes of Mikail "⁠Maikelele⁠" Bill, is already at NiP's mansion, in Halmstad, as the Swedish giants have begun a bootcamp ahead of the trip to Katowice.

"Firstly, I have to say that allu is a player that I have been impressed with for quite some time, and it is going to be fun to see what he can bring to the table," NiP owner Emil "HeatoN" Christensen told Aftonbladet.se.

NiP remain silent on what the future holds for Maikelele, who is contracted to the organisation.

Last week, NiP CEO Per Lilliefelth admitted that loaning out the Swedish AWPer to another team was an option, stressing that the player could not leave unless he was released from his contract.

Allu is good but not much better than eksem aka Maikelele. Allu is one of the best players atm of course and has always been but I think maikelele has got much more potential. Hmm... I dont know what to make out of this. There are still one question I would like to know: Why did they knock Mikalele out of the team? Im happy for allus sake but in general NiP and that shithead of a CEO made this so crappy. They got rid of Mikalele without telling us - the scene - and their fans a reason? If we are going to cheer and hold on a team we need to know whats happening. I will hold for teams I like in good and bad times but NiP has made this transaction so shitty. I dont know. I am happy for Allu and pretty sure the whole 3Dmax team is as well though it will effect on 3DMax as a team. But they do have Stonde for awp so that is not an issue and Xarte played well on qualies. Overall I think this is such an opportunity for Allu and actually for Finnish CS in general because; lets be honest: 3DMax doesn't have realistic chances to go really far in Katowice, even if they had Allu. Upsets are possible of course and they have chances against many of the teams. But now Allu has a real chance and it is actually an upset if NiP doesn't go far. So overall I think this is a great thing. Finally Finland has real chance to get on CSGO international map as a team and get real chance to success with Allu in top level team.

All this did was ruin 3dmax. Maikelele was not the problem with NiP's lineup. Adding allu is not going to fix NiP's problems. They don't have one problem they can just change and be up on top again, because the competition is so much better. It's not just strats, or just that the other four players are getting older (they're all still very good, after all), or just their playstyle, although at certain events those things might be factors. They are an old organization (by cs:go standards, if not necessarily by esports standards) trying to recreate its heydey instead of looking at the current scene and adapting to it. This is going to be their undoing if they stay in this mindset.

Really unexpected IMO all the games I watched with Nip playing with Allu he seemed really nervous. Especially in his 1 v x plays he would stomp around while they are near him, and put himself in bad positions. Great for allu, but I think NIP are gonna pull the same shit they did to makilelele if they don't win Katowice, which is likely as I don't think they can beat Fnatic or Envyus.

This will be intresting! Allu's style of playing with the AWP seems stabil. Maikikikikeikekeeke was good, but was in my eye's a bit to much "show" for the fans, ofcourse its important, BUT as the beggining he need to be stabil and dont make to much fails. when he is hot in the chair he can start make some "show" more and more, i have some strong belive in Allu, and trust me guys im not an NIP fan, i like Fnactic,NIP,Envyus and so on. ofcourse my heart go more to the swedish teams, but i like that some other swedish teams also showing their strong sides sometimes!. makilelele will find other team for sure, and i hope he's best also! /Matte

I don't like this pick. Not that Allu is a bad player, don't get me wrong. I think he already reached his peak in this game and I don't think we will see something more than he already showed. It may be enough for now but I'm not very optimistic about the long run. I'd rather see young talent being trained to fit for the team but that means tanking maybe the whole year.
