zet parts from coL, return to 1.6?
22-5-2008 20:36
Early May a lot of rumours started to roam in various forums about the Swedish CS:S-player Marcus ”zet” Sundstrom returning to Sweden to play Counter-Strike 1.6. The rumours got put to the ground, as his CGS contract would expire 2009. Today many may cheer for a return as the Swede gets replaced in the complexity CS:S lineup.
To some Marcus "zet" Sundstrom might seem like a stranger, to others, one of the best ever. The Swede left Ninjas in Pyjamas in 2007, to play with compLexity in the CGS. A season with wins with the CS:S team, but loses with the compLexity CGS team may have lead to a disappointment. Reason for his departure is not his own, General Manager Jason "1" Lake was the one making the call.
"This was totally my decision, and a very difficult one to make,” said Lake. “I'll miss that crazy Swede dearly, but compLexity is about winning, and that's what I intend to do." – states Jason Lake
With the departure from complexity, CGS and CS:S, Marcus "zet" Sundstrom might return to the Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. Playing with Americans for over one year should open his chances of joining any team (in theory).
The Swedish 1.6 scene is kind of locked for now, as goes for the top teams. fnatic seems pretty secure with their lineup, with the latest addition Oskar "ins" Holm, who also left Ninjas in Pyjamas back in 2007. SK Gaming seem to have found the team to bring back the Counter-Strike trophy to the organization.
What’s left for Marcus "zet" Sundstrom to select or will one of the two giants make drastic changes to open a spot for this gifted player?
Stay tuned for updates for the coming changes Marcus "zet" Sundstrom should make.
Official compLexity state can be found at their homepage.
