zonic's zoom: Inside mTw

Hey guys, just wanted to tell you guys about how it is in mTw
After KODE5 we decided to take a week off, and after one week we started to play again, but with Champions league and a national game against France we only played like 2 days in that week. And many of you guys know we played SoA online right before in an exciting match (15-15). The match didn’t mean that much too us, other than we wanted to win against our rivals, and hpx of course. About the match, we were leading 12-3 as T On dust2, after losing the gunround, after that we lost the gunround as CT, and simply just lost the wrong rounds (win 1 round, lose the next = 2 eco’s ) that kind of rounds :P
Anyways, we tied and we were looking forward to the weekend, where we were meeting them on LAN.
LAN
When we arrived the conditions looked alright, we knew we were going to play on TFT monitors, but we are used to it now, so it's no problem for us. However we started warming up, we were meeting the Danish team wooSai. We don’t know much to them other than the players, but we also knew we shouldn’t underestimate them, and we didn't. A little shaky start made the game a bit exciting, but we closed the game in time and SoA was waiting. For me it was weird to see hpx in a SoA shirt, but we chose this for ourselves. Anyways, SoA has claimed themselves to be the top contenders for the 1st spot here in Denmark, and I think it was ArcadioN who said in a interview that he really believed his team could beat us, so we wanted to proof him wrong.
We started out on train, our preferred map, we lost the knife and started T.
We quickly lost the gunround and the rounds after that, and they got their momentum going, and after 15 minutes they were ahead like 9-2 or something like that. We came back into the game, losing 5-10 as T, which is good if you just win the gunround as CT.
We won the gunround as CT, and things went smoothly from there. They couldn't break down our defense, and with great play by mJe inside b2, I could go to b1 and help them outside so they had no chance of getting through outside. We kinda knew where they were going the whole CT side, and we won the map 16-12 I think, winning 11-2 as CT.
On dust2 we continued our A-game, by winning 13-2 as T. We lost the gunround as CT, and started losing the wrong rounds again, just like the official match online, but this time we learned from our mistake, and closed the match 16-9.
A great match, SoA got some good potential going on with this lineup, and if they stick together we really need to get our A-game going if we want to continue winning against them.
Next Event
Tomorrow we are going to Copenhagen to play the Danish Qualification for DreamHack, I expect us to go to the final, where we probably are gonna meet the new Danish top team "m8s" with players like karrigan, bardi and Friis.
Other than that we are preparing for ESWC Masters in France, so we are testing new tactics, setups etc. if people were thinking about making anti-tacs against us in France.
Have a nice weekend folks, enjoy the weather (It's really nice in Denmark these days) – I'll be back on Monday with "one2watch".
