Keyd to playoffs over CLG

Keyd Stars have booked their place in the ESL One Katowice playoffs after picking up a 16-8 victory over CLG on de_dust2.

The Brazilian team had proved earlier in the day that they are definitely a force to be reckoned with after disposing of HellRaisers 16-12, but certainly no one expected such a strong display from Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo's men against CLG.

A rampant start from Keyd Stars on the Terrorist side saw them take the first 13 rounds of the match, with CLG looking completely helpless to stop the attacks from the Brazilian team. The North American side still got the last two rounds of the half, but with a 2-13 deficit, Peter "⁠ptr⁠" Gurney's men knew they had a mountain to climb going into the second half.

Keyd Stars secure a top eight finish

Now playing on the Terrorist side, CLG came out the brighter and won the first five rounds of the half. But just when many thought that a comeback was in the making, Keyd Stars picked themselves up and won the three rounds they needed to secure a 16-8 win and a place in the top eight.

HOW did noone expect a strong display against CLG???? just ask the clg boys how their scrims against keyd went when they were in usa. i'm sure they're not even surprised to have lost to keyd AGAIN.

Yep,but i thought in LAN it would be different,specially in D2 'cause they already have beaten EnvyUs.

still, it was a team they've beaten many times. and it's also their first major (so is keyd's). the only reason why someone would pick clg over keyd is fanboy retardism, cause keyd > clg is CERTAINLY not a surprise.

Did not expect them out of groups, though HR and CLG are some of the lesser teams at the event. Do not expect them to move further, but still good job getting out of groups.
