TSM exact revenge on Cloud9

The final match of the day featured Cloud9 and TSM fighting over the last team to advance to the quarter-finals of ESL One Katowice 2015, and it ended up being TSM who won 16:8 on de_overpass.

Marking the consolation final for Group D as well as a rematch of earlier, the final game of the day would see its action take place on de_overpass.

ESL One Katowice 2015 will go down as another disappointing event for Cloud9

Cloud9 managed to plant the bomb on the first round, only to lose a three-on-two situation and give TSM the lead on the CT-favoured map. However, the North American team's determination to succeed shone through on the next round when they punished TSM for sloppy play and won an eco round.

This opening allowed Cloud9 to garner precious T rounds against a saving TSM, although TSM took some control back shortly after. The rounds started going tit-for-tat; on the 11th round, a bizarre two-on-two ended with Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen getting two AWP kills to secure Cloud9 their fifth round.

Despite multiple close rounds, TSM did manage to close out the half with a slight advantage, finishing 9:6 as CT.

device showed up in this match; can his form continue in the playoffs?

Cloud9 won the second half pistol round, however TSM went for a strong TEC-9 play on the next round and managed to halt the North American resurgence, moving the score up to 11:7 for the Danes after C9's eco.

The game began to slip away from Cloud9's hands after this point, and despite getting one more CT round, it was TSM who pulled through and won the game 16:8.

I agree. I think the loser of the winner's match should get a one round advantage in a BO3 vs the winner of the loser's match. Thats what makes the most sense tbh, but such is life.

Full bo3 would still be weird. You could end up 1-1 in bo3's instead of maps.

Really? Penta got lucky having Envy, LGB and Titan in their group? And keyd would just fucking destroy c9 as they already did before. I want c9 to perform better, nothing is one of my all time favourite players, but the state they are in now is just frustrating.

Yes PENTA had a lucky draw, same as Keyd. Besides NiP and nV the 2nd spot were up for grabs in both groups. But you have one opinion, I have another.

And this is why BO1 formats are screwy. It's also lousy that TSM didn't have to face VP, nor C9 3DMAX. - edit Either way, a pretty expected result(especially after they lost the first matchup).

I speak Polish and English. Virtus.Pro has crazy communication skills. When I listened to that Cloud 9 stream I was mortified. These guys have no chemistry at all and they have no idea how to problem-solve. They don't ever speak with relevant information and always seem to mess up due to pressure. Valve wiped out half of the NA elite cs players, so going forward, some young talent needs to be found and given a shot. At least NA is beastly at DOTA 2 so I win back my lost CS:GO Skins in Dota =).

I always find this to be the case with NA teams. Whenever I listen in on one of them, their communication (and by the sounds of it, chemistry) is poor. And often they will spend abnormal amount of time arguing with each other (who's fault it was, etc). Really something that confuses me. Teams like NiP tend to be fairly relaxed in communication but their chemistry is so good they know instantly what to say / what the other person is telling them, timings, etc.

i listened the entire match to c9 and i found the exact opposite. They were way too relaxed and timid to tell eachother the truth. When shazam fucked up an ez shot, they "oh nice try shaz, next time you will have him". I found the lack of strats amazing, they were calling their strats on the fly with no real ingame leader. The only strat name they had was "navi default". It was just pugging all over again, hearing them talk you know they werent going to win.

It's all based on the different types of teams. some teams are more action/individual skill based, while the others are more teamwork skill based.

I was listening to the POV from c9 last night. Was funny hearing them say they (TSM) don't have any strats after the first round they won in the second half.. They pretty much got destroyed after that.
