NEO tops day two stats charts
We're halfway through the first major of 2015, ESL One Katowice, and we bring you a quick look back at the event's best performers of day two.
Day two of ESL One Katowice featured three quarter-final matches, two of which went the distance (EnVyUs vs. Na`Vi and Virtus.pro vs. Keyd Stars) while the other was over after two quick maps (fnatic vs. PENTA).
Nevertheless, the best player of the day doesn't come from the dominant fnatic, instead it is Virtus.pro's Filip "NEO" Kubski who tops 11 of our 24 categories as can be seen below.
27 year old former best player of the world (#1 on our Top 20 of 2011) reminded us of his old days with the performance against the Brazilians Keyd Stars, when he put up a 75:40 overall score (1.56 rating) and was Virtus.pro's best player in both of their map wins.

NEO stepping up in Katowice
Although just like on the first day all five Virtus.pro members contributed in a lot of ways, this time NEO stood out and led the team to victory with a 58:15 score in the 49 rounds they won. That earned him the day's highest 11.6 round win shares and the overall contribution of +8.0 round shares.
Following closely is his teammate Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski, who played particularly well in the map VP lost (36:24 in a 17-19 loss on Overpass), but was also an important part of the third map stomp (16-1 Nuke) where he recorded a 16:5 score (1.50 rating).

shox in form for EnVyUs
At the start of the day EnVyUs bested Natus Vincere 2-1, and the Man of the Match of that series was Richard "shox" Papillon thanks to his great play overall (63:41, 1.31 rating), but most importantly the 19:6 contribution on the deciding map (16-3 Cobblestone).
His teammate Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt led the way in the group stage the day before, and now ended up with the most assists (23) and headshots (28) for the day while closely following shox with a 60:49 score.
Fnatic's easy 2-0 win over PENTA had different heroes on both maps, although in the end each of the five players contributed significantly. On Inferno, it was Jesper "JW" Wecksell's show as he led the way with 29:13, while yesterday's top player Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer was the best on Cache with 22:15 and 8 assists.
Among the players who were on the losing end today, Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács had the best showing - largely thanks to his impact during the second map when he practically willed Na`Vi to the 16-14 Dust2 win with his 29:17 (19 AWP kills, 6 entry kills).

17 year old boltz from Keyd Stars showcased his potential against VP
A few other things worth mentioning are Paweł "byali" Bieliński's entry killing against Keyd Stars (14:8, 5:4 on the T-side) and 17 year old Brazilian Ricardo "boltz" Prass's play in that series as he showed he is a very talented aimer (wound up top fragging in their Overpass victory with 32:24).
In the end here is a version of the leaderboards with stats from both days put together:
NEO is now on top after performing well in all five of his maps, accumulating a +11.9 round share. He's followed by fnatic's olofmeister and JW, and those three will be meeting tomorrow in the first semi-final.
