Former GoodGame trio Julien "MaYeRs" Rivière, Dimitri "dim2k" Larue and Vincent "latOr" Wallet have announced their return to activity in a new team called Noname.

GoodGame were one of the most decorated teams in France during the first half of the last decade, during which they had countless entertaining matches with aAa and armaTeam for domestic hegemony.

Among GoodGame's international achievements are a sixth place at CPL Cologne 2000, a fourth place at CPL Cologne 2002, a 13th-16th place at CPL Summer 2004, a fourth place at CPL Barcelona and a top eight finish at ESWC 2005.

The organisation ended up closing its doors in 2008, when the French Counter-Strike scene was being dominated by WCG champions emuLate.

MaYeRs returns to activity

Dimitri "⁠dim2k⁠" Larue and Julien "⁠MaYeRs⁠" Riviere, both of whom retired from gaming in 2010, have now decided to give CS:GO a try together with former team-mate Vincent "latOr" Wallet.

Completing the team, which will be called Noname for the time being, are ex-WebOne duo Julien "⁠Krav⁠" Hernandez and Louis "Minar" Bertrand.

"More than 10 years after I stopped playing to focus on my personal life, it was in CS:GO that I rediscovered the pleasure that I experienced before," Wallet told vakarm.net.

"The game is now more strategical, dynamic and fast. It will take some time to regain a good level, but the essential aspects remain the same, and we will eventually get there."

Noname are currently on the lookout for an organisation to represent as they look to attend Gamers Assembly, from April 4-6. The team, who can be contacted by e-mail at [email protected], have the following lineup:

2003 CPL Summer. First day qualifying bracket. I was sitting two rows down from these guys. I was playing against these guys. We almost took these guys out. hahah latOr's movie was one of the first CS movies I ever saw. He was known as a real onliner with SICK aim. latOr was the first or at least one of the first star French players in CS. Definitely as famous as Emkill, its great to see some old legends playing again. Even if only for fun.

By the way, in the match where the related video is taken from latOr had one of the most dominant performances ever seen in CS - he finished the CT half with a score of 32-6! What is even more amazing is that back then the standard was playing MR12, which means he did it in only 12 rounds!
