fragbite adds de_train to Masters pool

fragbite has announced that de_train will replace de_nuke in the map pool for the upcoming Masters season.

The announcement comes just days after Valve revealed that de_train would replace de_nuke in the Active Duty map-pool after the next operation.

fragbite has now become the latest tournament organiser to embrace this change, which will come into effect in the new Masters season already - scheduled to start on April 14 with the first of two qualifiers.

After internal discussions we have decided to go with Train instead of Nuke in the map pool for our upcoming CS:GO season. #HYPE #FBMS4

de_train underwent a major overhaul in December, almost six months after it disappeared from the Active Duty pool and was instead placed in the Reserve Map pool.

Im not hyped either, but i think a bit of change is always good. Nuke is awesome, but so damn CT sided that its a very bad map for a Major tournament with the possibility to play BO1's. I am 100% sure that they will be changing some things on the "new" train soon. In my eyes, it cannot be a competitive map in its current condition. In Major tournaments, the higher seeded team could also use Nuke as an advatage, because of the possibility to choose sides. #tuscan #wearewaiting

I may be dumb as hell, as I don't play CS:GO, so please help me... aren't the "newly added maps" like overpass or cbblestone heavy CT-sided too? The main difference is that de_nuke has been here for ages, the probability of adaptation and side-changes are higher... I cleary remember at one point of CS 1.6 that de_nuke changed from CT-sided to T-sided among the top teams... I think that train should be added, yes! But the cutted map should be cbblestone. But I guess they are going by that stats, nuke isn't played at high level because of what I've just said, and teams prefer to play "less known maps" like cbblestone, because they think they still can bring something new to it.

I'm sorry dude, that's not completly true. As for the de_cbblestone, #218 is right, it seems more balanced than what I though, I'm sorry... Well cobblestone, at the moment, seems to be pretty 60%-40% CT sided. It will probably change to a more CT sided map eventually. Overpass is still very CT sided, but at least T's have more room to work with with the A-bombsite additions. Still needs work though, in my opinion. Different map rotations will make teams work harder on every map, so its only a good thing to have different maps in different events. :)

They should remove overpass (Its clearly less played map at recent events...). Or they should make 9 map pool (with train and season) for few months and let pro teams decide. (most BANed maps will be removed from map pool)

This is good. However I wish that Valve updates Train again before its put in the active pool. It needs some more work. For us normal players it doesn't matter, you can still play any map you want in the game. However as a spectator it makes a helluva difference, alot of teams have been playing extremely well on their T side and we have seen alot of CT dominant maps becoming more neutral. A good example of this is Cache and D2 where lots of teams take more rounds on their T side then CT side. But also Inferno and Mirage. This just isn't possible Nuke, cuz of the maps layout. It isn't fun to watch and Im glad its getting replaced. I don't believe its possible to fix the map at all, the amount of work it would take the map would change so much that you can't call it Nuke no more. Its better of being replaced.

I'd say 9-6 is good for any map. Me myself enjoy nuke a lot because there is so much you can do, smoke walls and fakes and so, but I would like to see the outer catwalk removed and vents less mobile for ct. A corridor for toxic or an other entrance for ramp would ofc make the map less ct. I don't mind train in the pool, but they need to work on a site, I don't see that site as a valid plant site to do smoke plays. Maybe I'm wrong and the pros will show other, but keeping cobble and replacing nuke is in my opinion stupid.

I agree with what you are saying. And I think Nuke is a blast to play. However its not that fun to watch, since the CTs win so many rounds with ease. Considering how much CSGO has grown lately and how many spectators there are watching the pro matches, Valve would want the viewing experience to be as good as possible. And to achieve that, Nuke has to go.

I personally find cobble to be alright. It still needs some work but it got a lot better after the latest update where the map got smaller. It's also a nice change from all the "dust-style" maps. But yeah, im probably the only one who thinks this.

Valve just want to test the new train. Otherwise it would not make any sense since they put so much time in it to remake it. I think the have to remove the details and keep the clear structure of the old train then it could be a good map i guess :)

Why don't they simply add de_train without removing any map whatsoever? What is the problem with making the map pool bigger? Just change the veto system so teams would be able to veto more maps and that is it, problem solved. By doing that, we would be able to see the addition of some awesome maps like tuscan, season, etc. and consequently action on more maps, which is what valve wants in the first place.
