SLTV XII Finals details announced

Coming up this weekend will be the SLTV XII Finals, and confirmed details have now been announced for the tournament taking place March 27-29.

The twelfth iteration of SLTV Starseries will meet its conclusion this coming weekend at the Kiev Cybersport Arena in the Ukrainian capital. Between March 27-29, six teams will compete for the $38,000 prize pool.

The total prize pot for SLTV XII was $50,000 to be exact, as $2,000 has gone to each team's travel support to make it to Kiev. The prize distribution at the event itself—based on placing—will be:

1. - $18,000
2. - $9,000
3. - $5,000
4. - $3,000
5-6. - $1,500

The six competing teams, who made their way through the regular season and last-chance qualifiers, will be:

EnVyUs	Virtus.pro
Titan	TSM
NiP	Na'Vi

The tournament will run in a double elimination format, with all matches being best-of-three's. EnvyUs and Virtus.pro, who placed first in their groups in the second group stage online, will be placed slightly ahead in the winner's bracket to meet the winners of the two matches lower down.

In addition to the increased prize pool and team count compared to previous seasons, the SLTV XII Finals will mark a few more inaugural occurrences for the long-running tournament.

Firstly, a wide spread of casters and analysts has been chosen for the event, for both Russian and English speaking viewers.

The team for the Russian stream will be:

And perhaps most importantly for us here at HLTV.org, this will be the first time that a team from HLTV will be on-site for a CS:GO event at the Kiev Cybersport Arena to bring you updates, results and photos of the action this coming weekend.

hmm, you can't pick Titan as a 5-6th team, they've failed on pretty much everything lately. DOn't get me wrong, they're my fav team, but they haven't shown anything yet, or yea, they failed at katowice, if that matters. But that for sure don't give you a 5-6th place.

agree, but i have to say that Titans potential to be in top three, is really good. They have amazing players on thier team, it just feel like, they need a change. I can't say who, but they just need something new.

I agree that it seem more natural for Swedish and Norwegian people to speak smooth and clean English without ugly accent. It seems more like that Danish people rape the English language through Danish accent. For example listen to the league of legends player Froggen. Danglish to the max. Sounds so ugly if you're a linguistic person :)

Esea should do the same for their events as RU/UA does for theirs which is helping with some money for travel support in order not to complain afterwards as to why some teams refuse to cross the boarder and it would be cool, because not every org can pay so much for their team to cross the ocean....

1. envyus - the best team in last 6 months no doubt. the worst result for them was semis in katowice but everything else won: DHW, MLG, GF. 2. navi - always great at sltv and with flamie they are even better. 3-4. nip and vp - solid top4 teams for a long time. 5-6. tsm titan - the only tier 2 teams there.
