Vox pull out of ESEA, CGPL

Vox Eminor have announced that they have withdrawn from the CyberGamer Pro League and the ESEA-Open Finals with immediate effect.

The Australian team is currently in turmoil as they search for a new fifth player after dispensing with the services of Azad "topguN" Orami, who lacked the necessary time to practice and bootcamp due to other commitments.

Josh "deathdoG" Edwards, a member of Vox Eminor's Bf4 squad, stepped in during the FACEIT League match against The Chiefs, a decision that turned into a disaster as Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill's side was soundly beaten 5-16.

Vox Eminor to focus on FACEIT League

Vox Eminor have now decided to drop out of the CyberGamer Pro League and the ESEA Open playoffs as they will put all their energy into the FACEIT League until a permanent replacement has been found.

For the remaining two FACEIT matches, Vox Eminor will be using Kyran "Dizzylife" Crombie, formerly of The Chiefs, the team has said.

BF4 actually has recoil compared to CoD, although all the 'pros' probably use the guns with the least recoil...

Hm... Not too sure how I feel about this. I guess it's good they're only focusing on one league, so they'll have more time to look for a replacement, but at the same time I think they probably still stood a chance at winning ESEA and CGPL.

ESEA only has an open league so it isn't really important, just online practice that people take too seriously. CGPL is an important LAN event for Australian teams and I doubt Vox would want to put in the effort to try and win it with a stand-in. Even if they did do well at the event it would probably end with them being defeated (again) by Team Immunity. I imagine they're going to take their time in finding a suitable replacement, the only reason they're staying in the Faceit league (I imagine) is because there is an overseas opportunity.

1 Voxe had a stand in 2 People that don't follow the Australian scene think that Voxe steam roll every other Australian team. 3 Chiefs just beat them at the PeetyG lan 4 Chiefs are one of the best teams in Australia (They're third but all three of the teams are close)

you actually have no idea. the odds were only that way because people think VOX is the only good australian team - they actually lost to chiefs on LAN before their match, so the odds should've been a lot closer than they were. twitter.com/ChiefsESC/status/57416790925..

lol bro you can throw at lan to get to lower brackets and it wasn't like the standin was replacing the captain. You just seem like a fanboy thinking that vox and other teams that you like wouldn't throw in these situations considering that they seem like they are about to disband and considering circumstances of what just happened.

This is pretty unfair on deathdog, the guy barely plays competitively anymore (if at all). It's always going to be pretty hard against players putting in 50+ hours a week.
