mOE steps down from Area51

Mohamad "mOE" Assad has announced via Twitter that he has stepped down from Area51's active line-up.

The announcement comes just hours after Area51's 1-2 defeat at the hands of Incursion in the CEVO-P Placement's semi-finals, a result that sent the team to the Lower Bracket of the tournament.

Despite the defeat, Area51 have been on an upward curve in recent weeks and even forced a third map out of eLevate in the Alienware Area 51 Cup with Spencer "⁠Hiko⁠" Martin acting as a stand-in for the team.

mOE will take some time off

But it seems now that Jaryd "⁠summit⁠" Lazar's side will have the scour the market in search for a new player after Mohamad "⁠mOE⁠" Assad revealed that he has lost the motivation to play CS:GO on a competitive level.

I have decided to stop competing for now, I have lose the passion to play and i feel like im dead weight on the team. GL to the guys

Summ1t is to blame here for the loss a51 faced. He only cares about his own Frags k/d while not doing any team work or following the strats call. He goes and play the way he wants. M0e is one of the best AWPs in NA, and it's a shame that this didn't work out. On a good day he could play with some of EU's best. He is often misunderstood, I think. He tries to entertain. He's a bit immature at times, but he wants to win and when there are chemistry issues (which I think he is over exaggerating) he doesn't want to make things worse. He cheated in the past, yes. He has apologized and acknowledges that it was on him. He won't again, that's the thing about second chances, if he loves the game, he won't take the risk. I hope he finds a team soon, although I think last night's decision was a mistake.

Hopefully he manages to not be a complete douchebag from now on.He is a decent fragger,but his horrible team play lowers his overall value drastically.Good for A51.Good for MoE too.Saved himself the embarassment.

I think they should just pick up one of the guys from IBP. Since Skadoodle and Summit are already good friends, I think that he could help them out a lot, not only could he be the awper that is there instead of moe, but he never rages and gets everyone to compete their best
