Keyd Stars open to NA move

Earlier today, ESL and ESEA unveiled plans for a super CS:GO league involving the top teams in Europe and North America, with $500,000 up for grabs at the global offline finals.

Details about the league's format are still scarce, but fans across the globe have expressed fears that Oceania and South America - two regions that have experienced a considerable growth in the last year - will be overlooked.

Keyd Stars, for example, came through the offline qualifier for ESL One Katowice and managed to finish in the top eight at the major, ahead of North American duo Cloud9 and CLG.

And Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo believes that his team's results in Katowice show why the ESL ESEA Pro League should not be limited to teams from North America and Europe.

"The Brazilian community aches at being left out of the biggest tournaments," Toledo told HLTV.org.

"At the start of the year, we overcame an obstacle by competing in a major and perfoming well. 

"Interest in the game has grown a lot in Brazil. CS:GO keeps growing, but with each announcement comes disappointment. Where is the interest in making this a global game? Where are teams from South America, Asia and Oceania supposed to compete?

"Our latest results proved that we can play CS:GO on a high level. What more will it take?"

FalleN went on to guarantee that his team will be able to move to North America to compete in the ESL ESEA Pro League and revealed that he has already pitched the idea to Keyd Stars and prospective partners.

"We want at least one invite to move to a different country and do what we love to do: play CS:GO on a high level!," he added.
