Gfinity Masters teams revealed

Gfinity has released the full list of participants for its Spring Masters II event.

Gfinity has decided to expand its upcoming Spring Masters II tournament from eight teams to 10 following interest from several top sides in attending the event, which will take place from May 15-17 at the British company's eSports arena, located in London.

A total of $50,000 will be up for grabs in the tournament - the second of four Masters championships that will be held until the end of the year -, with the winning side walking away with half of that figure.

Gfinity Masters will be Skadoodle's first event with Cloud9

EnVyUs will be travelling to London to defend the Gfinity title clinched in March after beating Ninjas in Pyjamas, who will also attend the event next week, in the grand final by a 3-1 scoreline.

But certainly the primary talking point ahead of the tournament is that it will mark the LAN debut of the new Cloud9 lineup, featuring Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham and Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir.

Below you can find the full list of participants for Gfinity Spring Masters II:

The only way to find clouds is to elevate. The height increases the luminosity and temperatures, so the liquids turn into gas.

TSM are taking a break lol... also 2 of the best Australian teams* Sure they may not be able to compete with the likes of fnatic but they can take out NA teams as they have proven, and could potentially upset some euro teams. They aren't coming over because they think they're going to win, they're coming over because it's boosting their scene and it's a good learning experience.

Bit toxic there? Sure Dignitas wasn't doing to hot but it's still the same lineup that they have now? And now they're doing better so it shows that they're decent players. Vox also took down 3Dmax with Allu and f3, and without s1mple they're still a decent team, world edit is pretty good. So stop being so bitter they deserve a spot there just as much as any other euro team that they could have invited instead

You genuinely don't know what you're talking about, you're saying they don't deserve a spot with no evidence to back up your statement. The fact is that Vox has beaten the current Dig lineup and the Dig lineup hasn't beaten Vox. Also Vox and Imm could take out most euro t2 teams.

haha I am actually quite interested of the NA scene and try to keep up to the matches that are played. I think the NA region has potential to make good cs teams but that the only problem is that all the best players in NA is playing in different teams. I liked Hiko's idea with a "super NA team" but unfortunately the IBP bans pushed the scene back super much. And no sir, you, are awesome! ;)

Couldn't agree more! The best team right now in NA is anyone from Nihilum, CLG, Cloud9, eLevate, Liquid and Luminosity. I do found it more weird that the oceanic region is performing better than NA at lans since the NA scene has been way more active then the oceanic. It's also embarrassing that a random Brazilian team is having a better performance than the whole of NA.

So true! it could be a matter of playstyle, maybe the oceanic region has a more suitable playstyle than the NA teams, this lan will answer a lot of questions tho, cant wait:)

Sure, they had one game. A lot of teams do. But with the recent roster changes, I'd rather see the new LG or the new CLG at this event rather than a tried and tested team who seems to consistently fail to produce results at LANs featuring non-NA teams.

I always consider any masters event, whether it's e-sports or real sports to include the best players/teams possible yet having 6 real teams and 4 "pugs" defeats the purpose of this. Just call it Gfinity Spring II then it's all good but calling it masters then inviting tier 3 teams is bullshit.

EU is far above AUS / NA. This is a fact. Everyone knows that, except you which means you are ignorant. Bo1 major groups are random so their wins aren't that great. Taking a map is not a win though.

You're stating what everyone knows that, I don't even know why you're mentioning it. You said Australia is shit at CSGO which is straight up bullshit and ignorant of you to say considering Australian teams have BEATEN (Not just taken maps off) both EU and NA teams. I don't even know what you're trying to say

You don't know that. When did an Australian team win against European in a top tier tournament in a bo3? You want to prove that Australian teams are good. They are good vs NA teams because both AUS and NA teams suck. None of the Australian and/or NA teams are even in top 15. KeyD is the only team outside of Europe in top 15.

I don't know what? You keep changing what you're saying here... Vox Eminor and Immunity have taken maps off of and beaten NA and EU teams. That's literally all there is to it. You never once before this mentioned what "Tier". Of fucking course they're not going to beating fnatic and NV on their first or second trip overseas, that's ridiculous to expect.

All are European teams aside from KeyD, which would not benefit Gfinity's publicity. Also Vox 16-2'd F3 (although they didn't have s1mple) however even with s1mple they still probably would've lost. Vox, Immunity and the NA teams could also take out Hellraisers, G2, possibly Mouz and Penta due to the new lineup. Also it's a bit difficult for KeyD although that would have been nice. So most of those teams are on a similar level to the NA/AUS teams, however they're all euros which makes it shitty and boring.

No it's not "shitty and boring" to invite more euro teams. It's FAIR. I don't mind having NA and AUS teams, but to be fair having two australian teams here is too much. One is enough. Liquid keeps getting invited but they fail time and time again. It sucks for some of the best t2 teams in EU that they can't attend a tournament they are good enough for, because they HAVE to invite another AUS and NA team for publicity.

More regional competition is more fun for everyone as everyone has the chance to support their own region, making it more fun. Also Vox and Immunity aswell as the NA teams have the potential to take out most euro tier 2 teams, if not all of them. The Aussies and the Americans deserve to be there as much as anyone else, although maybe the liquid invite is questionable but then again they have been good in the past.

TopGun was a fantastic player, his replacement is Yam is also very good and experienced. I think over time Yam will fit in nicely and create a solid lineup but they may still be rebuilding by Gfinity, but I could be wrong and they could get some really nice results :D

the americans complain too much about things like salary and that they cant train full time because they dont get enough money, while most american players earn more than players from fnatic and nip etc.
