LGB replace TSM in StarSeries

Starladder have announced that LGB eSports will replace Team SoloMid in StarSeries XIII.

TSM have been forced to withdraw from the prestigious league, which will have $68,000 on offer this season - the highest figure in the history of the tournament - as the offline finals will collide with the national exams in Denmark.

The CCS and FACEIT League champions will be replaced by Norwegian side LGB eSports in Group C, which also features dignitas, x6tence and GPlay.

TSM withdraw from StarSeries XIII

LGB will take TSM's seed in the group, meaning that they will face x6tence in the first round of group matches.

We have postponed the start of the match for Team SoloMid to 20th of May, and today, after the announcement of exams' dates, team manager Frederik Byskov contacted us and said that unfortunately the examinations scheduled for the date of the LAN-finals, namely June 19 - Friday and Monday - May 22. This means that Team SoloMid will not have time to travel to Kiev, and was replaced by another rather good Danish team - LGB Esports.
We wish Team SoloMid successful completion of the exams and look forward to their participation in the next season of SLTV StarSeries, as we wish a successful season for new-comers - LGB."

"We had postponed the start of the first match for Team SoloMid to May 20th, and today, after the announcement of exams' dates, team manager Frederik Byskov contacted us and said that unfortunately the examinations are scheduled for the date of the LAN-finals, namely June 19 - Friday and Monday - May 22," a statement from Starladder read.

"This means that Team SoloMid will not have time to travel to Kiev, and was replaced by another team - LGB Esports.

"We wish Team SoloMid successful completion of the exams and look forward to their participation in the next season of SLTV StarSeries, as we wish a successful season for new-comers - LGB."

StarSeries' first group stage uses a best-of-three, double-elimination bracket format, with the top two sides advancing to the second group stage, which will determine the six participants at the offline finals, which will take place from June 19-21 in Kiev.

no he didn't lose: opposite of winning loose: opposite of wide (i think, too lazy to look it up) what he did was using a double negative saying "misspelled...wrong" which messes its whole meaning up :D

do danish take education more seriously? They obvious should but I mean than the average gaming countries. Like how whimp and mje retired so they could focus on school even though they were still winning events despite signing a 3 year contract, they still quit shortly after.

This highschool is the needed qualification of going to university or academies. Just did some reading and it seems college can be used as a word for secondary highschool and this is much like what this is. The problem is that highschool and college in normal regard overlap with the danish terms. Primary school -> Gymnasium (highschool/college) -> Academies or universities

HHX/HTX/STX in Denmark is equal to last two years of High School and first year of College OR Last year of High School and first two years of College. It sort of depends on what courses and what level you take them on. Bachelor/Master degree in the US is also different from the Bachelor/Candidate degree in Scandinavian. However in the long run the two education system usually take about the same time to complete, though obviously there is noticeable differences what happens during the years.

We have a really good school system, hence it's free to enter any university basically. CS has never been profitble enough in the long run (we are getting there?). These guys have to make a lot of millions to make up for potentially going to med. school.
