XENEX win ESL UK Premiership

XENEX have been crowned champions of ESL UK Premiership Season 1 following a 2-0 victory over Infused (26-23 on de_cache and 16-4 on de_mirage).

The MCM London Comic Con played host to the offline finals of the first season of the ESL UK Premiership, featuring the top four sides of the online portion of the tournament.

The semi-final stage saw XENEX move past fm-eSports on two maps following double 16-11 victories on de_dust2 and de_inferno. Joining Sam "⁠RattlesnK⁠" Gawn's men in the grand final were Infused, who claimed a 2-0 win over EZSkins.com.

de_cache, the first map of the grand final, was keenly contested from start to finish, with XENEX eventually running out 26-23 victors after multiple overtimes. The second map of the series, de_mirage, was, however, a very different story as XENEX quickly sealed a 16-4 victory after picking up 11 rounds on the CT side.

Nope, this match: hltv.org/legacy/match/2192669-nip-mouses.. was (if I remember correctly) the first time NiP almost lost a map on LAN.

oh they almost won the map... I meant that lemondogs actually took the first map ever on LAN against NiP... it was de_train IIRC but I am not sure with that one

Yeah sorry, I have no idea about Lemondogs, can't remember. I was a big fan of the English Mouz/Anexis team so I remember cheering them on when they came close.

Rattlesnk did great work with the awp and some very unconventional plays. Puls3 man what a hero this guy was making pushes to gather info and getting some 3k lurking frags a few rounds to turn everything around. well deserved

Rattlesnk is awesome to watch. Good awp skills (bit inconsistent though) and some really good game reads. Hope to see these guys against euros sometime.
