Keyd Stars, Vox to ESWC Montreal

Keyd Stars and Vox Eminor have been invited to compete at ESWC Montreal, the French organisation has revealed.

The Brazilian team will represent South America at the Canadian event, while Vox Eminor take the slot that was reserved for Asia and Oceania, with both sides being selected because of their results "in past local and international tournaments".

This will be the first ESWC event for the Australian side, who recently gave a good account of themselves at Gfinity Masters, taking maps off fnatic and NiP, and beating Liquid 2-0.

FalleN's Keyd Stars to attend ESWC Montreal

As for Keyd Stars, the Brazilian team, who recently moved to Los Angeles to compete in the ESL ESEA Pro League, attended last year's ESWC event as KaBuM.TD, finishing fifth in their group, with one victory from five matches.

"We are really excited about representing our country once again at ESWC," said Gabriel "FalleN" Sguario.

"The tournament is always great and we hope to perform ever better than our last participation. Thanks for the opportunity!"

Below you can find the teams confirmed so far for the event:

Sweden Fnatic - Defending champions
Sweden NiP - Invited
Denmark Team SoloMid - Invited
France EnVyUs - Invited
Brazil Keyd Stars - Invited
Australia Vox Eminor - Invited

Meanwhile, ESWC stated that the remaining two invites, a worldwide slot and a North American place, will be handed out in the coming weeks.

ESWC Montreal 2015 will run from July 9-12 as part of the Mondial des Jeux Loto Québec and Just for Laughs Festival, with $75,000 up for grabs in the 16-team male CS:GO tournament.

They are easily the best team in Sweden behind fnatic though? I'm in no way a Nip fanboy, it's kind of amusing to me they think something is wrong = why they aren't winning.. no, the simple fact is there are a handful of teams nowadays who would need to fuck up in some way before they stand a chance. VP I agree as said in my comment below, navi not so much!

VP has been finishing in the top 4 at quite a lot of events,i can understand TSM being invited, why NIP has done nothing to warrant an invite, im sure they would not have qualified for MLG aspen considering the competition...whole of second half of last year nip barely attended anything apart from majors because they failed to qualify for anything, and this year they are invited to all events lol.

If there is a chance to invite NiP, most organizers will do it and will keep it doing no matter how bad NiP is performing. It's the team with the biggest fanbase, as simple as that. Unless that changes, which I don't see it happening since the rest of top teams gets a lot of unjustified hate (imo) for different and mostly stupid reasons.

Oh apologies. I thought you didn't notice the invited teams are clearly the best in their region bar NiP but with fnatic being champs it's no biggy they don't have to qualify. I do agree about the Poles, g2 aren't going to put up a fight so they should be invited. Despite their recent form I don't think Navi are clear cut over F3 or even HR in their current form.

What? Envy have been doing god-awful lately but they can still bring it against other T1 teams. Same goes for NiP, they always surprise us on LAN. And do you really think that TSM will easily beat Fnatic? They may have a great record against Fnatic but that doesn't mean that it'll easily go TSM's way.

What 'playoffs'? Playoffs for a tournament that hasn't even started yet? It's simple. If your team receives an invitation, you compete at the event. No invitation? You don't. There is no 'online/offline qualifier' for this event.
