ESWC CIS qualifier groups set

Since our original newspost detailing the original invites for the ESWC CIS qualifier, national qualifiers have taken place to determine teams to represent various regions of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

In addition Na`Vi, one of the original seeded teams to group B of the CIS qualifier, left a vacancy in the group as they replaced TSM in the actual $75,000 tournament in Montreal after the Danish team dropped out, citing family obligations.

The ESWC CIS qualifier has, as a result, slightly reshuffled its groups as well as changing the date of the event. The event will take place inside the Moscow Cyber Stadium from June 16-18.

wayLander's PiTER won the Russian qualifier for the overall CIS qualifier 

With the grand final of the Russian qualifier coming to a close yesterday, all ten teams are now set to compete. The groups are as follows:

The groups will run on the first two days (and follow a round-robin format) of the three day event with the top two teams from each group advancing to single-elimination playoffs. The winning team will reserve a spot at ESWC Montreal 2015, taking place July 9-12.

Although FlipSid3 will be attending DreamHack Open Summer up until June 15, the team should still be able to attend the ESWC CIS qualifier in time.
