For the first interview from DreamHack Open Summer group B, we chose Jacob "Pimp" Winneche, whose dignitas lost to NiP in the initial match of the day.

dignitas managed to pass through the BYOC jungle without a scratch yesterday, but today kicked things off with a poor performance against NiP on de_mirage.

We talked to Jacob "⁠Pimp⁠" Winneche and got his thoughts on the different match-ups they can face in the group, including his opinion on Kinguin, and what the team's expectations are for the event.

i dont think it means what you think it means. skills is a general term that describes more than one thing. having experience and being able to keep calm is a domain-specific skill which lies under "soft skill". but what you are talking about is "hard skill", and that is what Dignitas has a lot of. you see it time upon time that they possess the required amount of "hard skill". "soft skill" can also be the equivalent to confidence and situational experience, and i cs that isnt really considered "in-game skills".

No newschool about that. People used terms like "raw-skill" back in the HeatoN days too. Experience and raw-skill is not the same whatsoever, but being a great/legendary players takes both, dignitas doesn't have that yet, but they sure got plenty of raw-skill :)!

The newschool remark was for the terms hard and soft skill and even more on that soft skill had nothing to do with ingame skill, because ingame skill is everything. And I agree with your last part though lack of discipline is also a large part of dignitas game.

Yet "soft skill" can easily determine the outcome of a game, so it can be considered in-game skill. If you can't keep your head cool and clutch rounds, that's obviously just a lack of skill. No more, no less.

I was simply stating (in response to the JM' guy) that not being able to keep your head cool and thus be able to clutch rounds, is obviously a lack of skill (he argued otherwise). It's even a skill that dignitas realize they're currently missing and is probably working on. Kudos to them for that. Og stop så med at være en retarderet fanboy - jeg kritiserede ikke engang dignitas.

Pretty sure the only problem in the advantage situations is communication. If noone says anything the players feel the need to peak and get information because they get insecure due to lack of experience.
