dignitas, mouz finalize Gfinity bracket

dignitas and mousesports have advanced from second places following 2-1 wins over Titan and Virtus.pro, respectively.

dignitas were set on a collision course with Titan yet again after sending them down to the lower bracket in the initial round of group play. The Danes picked de_mirage once again and started off on the Terrorist side, picking up eight rounds during the half.

Titan won the second pistol and got a three-round lead, but after losing one of the gunrounds, their forcebuy evened it out and dignitas grinded most of the remaining rounds together for a 16-13 win.

aizy secured multiple pistol rounds for dignitas

Titan then got de_cbble back thanks to a good start as Terrorists, getting 10 rounds in the half in the end, and they had next to no problems in closing it as everyone on the team contributed in the fragging department.

de_cache was like night and day compared to the other two maps though, dignitas started off with a 10-0 lead before Titan even picked up a round, and with a 13-2 Counter-Terrorist side and the pistol, there was little to no doubt they would close it out at 16-2, 2-1.

In group B, it came down to yet another rematch, this time of mousesports and Virtus.pro, as the former defeated the latter quite comfortably yesterday on two maps only.

On de_dust2, it looked like a white-wash once again coming out of the German-based team, who, with a 11-4 Counter-Terrorist half, were looking to close things out early. Virtus.pro slowly but surely came back into the match and made it to overtime though despite the heroics of Johannes "nex" Maget and Chris "chrisJ" de Jong, and won 4-0 there for 19-15 overall.

de_mirage was nearly exactly the same story, mousesports got 11 rounds as Counter-Terrorists yet again. Even though Virtus.pro started edging their way back in again, that time around mousesports were able to close it out at 16-13 and evened the series 1-1.

mousesports survived three comebacks from Virtus.pro

Starting off as Terrorists for the first time in the series, Fatih "gob b" Dayik and company got a comfortable 5-1 lead before Virtus.pro climbed back again and took six out of the remaining nine rounds of the half for a 8-7 scoreline in favor of mousesports.

The Poles were soon after up against several match points but for the third time in a row, but they refused to be sent home and held on to take map three into overtime. All of that was for nothing though as after two overtimes, mousesports finished it off with a 22-20 scoreline.

Awesome match between VP and Mouz As a mouz fan it was so frustrating that they didn't get the win earlier, so many rounds which they should have closed out. Although I'm sure fans of VP would say the same about their team :) GGWP

i agree, niko deserves a good team. but he really has to work on his english, it's fundamental for his career since there probably won't be a competitive balkan team in the near future.

Fix your rating system, shitty HLTV. Aizy should be rated higher than Pimp with so many more kills, but with some more deaths. Your rating system needs to favor entry frags much more than it currently is, as well as favoring the baiters/flankers like Happy much less.

Im not, VP are just not the same anymore. People keep hyping up teams who upset greater teams a few times.. Dignitas, Mouz, Gplay etc. Just cuz they're tier 1 teams, doesnt mean they can't be in a slump and play bad for a while. I mean, they're not robots
