NiP to Gfinity final over mouz

Ninjas in Pyjamas are through to the grand final of the Gfinity Summer Masters I after seeing off mousesports by a 2-0 scoreline (16-13 on de_train and 16-2 on de_dust2).

Day 3 of the Gfinity Summer Masters I, taking place in London, began with a mouth-watering clash between Ninjas in Pyjamas, who are looking to end a five-month international trophy drought, against mousesports, the surprise package of this tournament.

The first map of this best-of-three series was de_train, where a flying start from NiP saw them take the opening five rounds of the game. mouz then replied and claimed their first roud of the match after securing a two-man advantage early on.

A triple kill from Chris "chrisJ" de Jong in the following round powered mouz to cut the deficit to 2-5, but then NiP regained control of proceedings and strung two rounds together to break the Germans' economy. Despite having little money to work with, Fatih "gob b" Dayik's men picked themselves up and reduced the gap little by little as they finished the half down by just one round.

f0rest topped the scoreboard for NiP

In the second half, mouz attempted an inner bombsite rush in the pistol round but were stunned by NiP, who claimed the round on the back of a triple kill from Adam "friberg" Friberg. However, the Germans refused to throw in the towel and picked themselves up right after as they brought the scoreline to 12-9.

The game was starting to slip through NiP's fingers, but the Swedish giants put their vast experience to great use as they won several rounds in a row to leave their opponents' economy in shambles before sealing a 16-13 win.

Next up was de_dust2, where mousesports got off to a good start on the Terrorist side by claiming the first two rounds. Many believed that they were about to witness another close game, but that was far from the truth: NiP completely crushed their opponents to finish the half up 13-2 and picked up the first three rounds after the break to seal a 16-2 mauling and secure a spot in the grand final of the tournament.

nip easiest way to a lan final ever in history? SK - tier 6 danish team dignitas - tier 5 danish team mouz - tier 4 team not even close to top 10 and people will still use the argument "nip is good because they make it to finals"

The comments are full of h8. Why are you flaming mouz? It was overall a great tournament for them. They beated VP two times. They took one map against envy. So why the flames? Mouz is on a good way and I will support them. #gomouz

Yea! We all have to see it's a new Team and they made very well. So after the bootcamp they should make good results in Cologne...especially they beat VP twice and played 2:1 against nV. #gomouz

was overall a really good tourney by mouz until d2... gob b you have to realize ONE thing: THIS IS NOT 1.6 ANYMORE this slow-paced style isn't as strong anymore. csgo is a more fast paced game and you have to adapt to this and take advantage of it. this slow passiveness doesn't work anymore, especially not against a top team like nip who can read you.

I didn't watch this match, but mouz has had good succes with their slow T-side super late executes in the past, wouldn't change that because of one poor map result.

you didn't see d2. it was just too much, they really looked a bit clueless and didn't adapt to the game. nip read them like an open book.

ah that's sad, but ultimately I didn't expect much against NIP, can't even recall when (if?) mouz has ever beaten them, online or offline. Shame they werent able to close out train so I could have caught a third map though.

ha glad i didn't stay home for it, that's rape. Well done mouz though, they had a good run for a new line up and I'm hoping for more bo3 upsets against tier 1 teams in the future.
