GameGune adds yet another replacement for the teams dropping out close to tournament start.

Another team has today been confirmed to be attending GameGune. Yesterday GameGune found three replacements and should only seek two more teams, in order to complete their thirty-two team tournament. Today GameGune found one of the two teams. Dropping into group B with HellGaming, wooSai and Frag eXecutors will be Skilledamn!, a fairly unknown team from Portugal.

Which last team to be attending GameGune 2008 remains unknown.

Due to this many teams dropping out and cancelling their attendance, the organizers was forced to fill the tournament with the teams they could get with such short notice. Remember CPL with 8/10 US teams?

SD? you guys must be kidding..they are not even top 8 in Portugal :x nothing against them, they have a great talent, but we sure had some other teams who deserved to be there istead of them =) gl anyway

If this is some kind of joke I would gladly apreciate to tell me cause i really needed to go outside otherwise i'd had a heart attack. Either is the spanish organization that wants to make Portugal look bad, or someone really got brain dead. Explain me how does a team that isn't even top 15 in Portugal! (Results on eswc: not even group passed, lost vs paradigma and re-match = fairly poor teams) and even don't have the minimum age requirements to play the game (team age average 15 y.o), They have no shown proofs on any Portuguese tournaments in LAN and all they have is a bunch of videos on youtube from internet frags. (supose the organizers saw that). I personaly have nothing against skilldamn and wish them luck, but for crying out loud this aint a local tournament to qualify for something, some of the best teams in the world participate and it's supose to be a major event. How can Portugal send to an event like this Top1 portuguese team defs and onde of the worst also. April fools joke i guess. Peace

Feel free to tells us the right spelling, since the name give by the organizers clearly is way off. About the pick, I could only direct you towards the organizers. I guess one random team is better than a tournament lacking teams ?

nix0n. hell no especialy when it puts in stake the pride of a country. How would you like if in a major tournament would represent your country the top1 team and like the 24th best team in a country with 10milion population and a very low percent youth.(all this to explain that we probably dont have more than 24 teams) a team that didn't even pass the first group on a wcg regional qualifier (easy one to add) by loosing with another 2 teams with low level. Comparing a team like defs that won in the last 8/9 months every portuguese tournament with a team that has less than 5 tournaments and lost every single one. I rather have a open slot and give default to whoever is on that group to have my country represented by a team like this

I follow you 9 of the 10 steps you take. A view on this with "tournament-director" eyes, I should fill up any remaining spots with any given team that applied. It's all about business and $. Keep in mind the best(?) Portuguese team is attending, that's something after all?

defs deserve to participate. they won everything. I really honestly have nothing against SD not a problem with them and never had. But hell if its a tournament without prestige just to fill up slots dont bother to invite top european teams just fill it up with spanish and portuguese and call it iberian cup or something

Trust me, the tournament-director have tried his best to gather the best teams at GameGune 2008. Basically every European top-team received an invitation for GameGune 2008, some accepted and bailed out in the end and some declined at the very beginning. (Next time, please use the reply button next time)

Everyone have the right to have their very own opinion. But, honestly, look at the teams have stated they would come to start with? The organizers really did their best to gather the world elite at GameGune 2008. Sad the GameGune and e-Stars had to collide, but that's just tough luck.

I wish them good luck and it make shame to be part of this country were the gaming is not developed and the others teams in stead of support the teams are saying stupid things about other national teams.(#26/#27/#73).Another thing that makes me dumb is that i know some person's of that clan and i had them in has a good clan made of good people. GL Skilledamn! and phun. =) Ja' agr queria ver o que é que o clan dos cardinais em cima referidos faziam neste tipo de competições. Same opinion that TemplaR.

It's obvious, SD don't have skill for this competition. I think it's shameful for Portugal the participation of this team. The TOP Portugueses Teams it's defs, RG, EGAMING and k1ck. SD are just a median team in our Scene. But GL guys enjoy the experience
