flamie: "We want C9 in the final"
We managed to ask Na`Vi talent Egor 'flamie' Vasilyev a few questions about his visa struggles coming into the tournament and his outlook on tomorrow's semifinals and possible finals.
Na`Vi have received a lot of attention coming into ESWC 2015, both with the team's visa struggles and predictions about them being the team that is most likely to win the event overall.
After Na`Vi fairly uneventfully defeated the Australian Renegades outfit in the quarter-finals, the Russo-Slovakian-Ukrainian team found themselves qualifying for the semifinals, alongside EnVyUs, Cloud9, and FlipSid3 Tactics.
We briefly grabbed the fairly modest Egor "flamie" Vasilyev and asked him a few pertinent questions about his team and other topics.
Can you first mention your and Denis "seized" Kostin's visa issues? When were they resolved and did someone help you resolve them?
At the beginning of ESWC we were certain that the visas would not come and we were writing to the visa service center [consulate] and telling them that we want to be given back our passports without a visa and just accepting that we would skip ESWC.
But on that day they wrote that the visas came and we can go. But our flight had already been missed so we bought new tickets and decided to fly later on another plane.
Did you have a "jetlag effect" and did it affect your play?
We were very, very tired but we played well and our team helped us. It was hard to focus but we overall managed to survive on the first day.

flamie briefly spoke with HLTV.org after his team's win over Renegades
Were any of the group stage teams difficult or unexpected for you (SK, Titan, Luminosity) or did you know how to play against them and prepare?
We knew how to beat all of them but overall SK were the hardest team for us to open up against especially because we knew less about them also like Luminosity, but they were already out when we played with them so I think it was easier to beat them because they knew they were out.
Titan...I don't know why they picked mirage because it's one of our best maps and they chose it, not us. They won the coin toss and chose mirage, not overpass.
What about tomorrow's game against FlipSid3, are you worried because they have Hiko so their playstyle might be a bit more random.
Basically we thought that if we win against Renegades we will play NiP but somehow FlipSid3 won and that means that they were really strong and we should prepare better for them.
Last time we won but they now have Hiko who is a mad-fragger and maybe it will be harder for us. Our captain will look at demos for sure.
In the final, assuming you win the semifinal, would you rather play Cloud9 or EnVyUs?
Cloud9. We never played against them but we wanna try. We are also prepared for EnVyUs.
The semifinals of both the mens' and womens' tournaments kick off tomorrow at 16:00 on the final day of ESWC 2015.
