One messed up group?

Group B hit chaos when the last round was played and three teams tied up.

As Group B ended, three teams tied up. Many ideas to who should advance was put up, but here is what will go on and why.

First to 16 rounds

The organizers started group A and B with playing first to 16 rounds, even though I said it would be a chaos, should teams tie up. To determine who should advance, would then be who beat who, but as the three teams beat each other crossing, it was still a tie.

Three times rematch

Determining who will advance from group b, a set of three rematches will be played tonight, starting around 21-22:00CET. The matches will be played MR30, so every round counts.

Why?

When you do not play all 30 rounds, you kind of invite for chaos. The rules that apply for the MR30 rule-set cannot be implanted into a MR16 rule-set which was done here.

Tune in after the end of group E and F, where the rematches will take place.

If you mean rounds, then it would not work out. Some teams can win 16:1 while others can win 16:13, makes it unfair for the teams when looking at rounds.

this is sick, i think is more relevant if you qualify by beating by 16:1 and the other team is more weaker and wins with 16:13... this is not a good reason for rematching the games :|

In theory yes, but overall fairness no. The biggest mistake was not to use MR30 rule-set to begin with.

Look team "one" can win 16:1 team "two" can win 16:14 It doesn't mean one>two (learn maths!) There is a possibility that all next rounds in the match of team "one" goes to their opponents, and we've got 16:14, too.

Well, it doesn't make it unfair to teams. Rules are simple, and should be followed. If 3 teams tied crossing, than round difference counts, but only between those 3 teams (if more in group). So, it should be simple, since all played same amount of matches, and all matches finished at 16. It's not like one match was played all 30 rounds, and other ended at 16-5. Orga definitely got this one wrong. REMATCHES SHOULD NEVER TAKE PLACE, IN ANY COMPETITION.

Yes and no... They rules was messed up, so if you had to look at the round difference it would not be fair, it's the due to rules being fucked that the this might look stupid. But in this case, a rematch is the only solution.

They dont if you count +rounds witch is the most normal thing to do. But as nix0n says, it would be very unfair for all teams to count when your playing mr16

You're just stupid with your understimating SkillDamn.. Do you remember situation at American shitty event, when EG.can, EG.us and mibr (with only 3 players in there) were facing each other? EG.us beat mibr with smaller difference (if we're talking about rounds) than EG.can. And when they faced in final, EG.us beat them at all. Understood?

But you can count rounds. All the matches are played 16 rounds, just like they would play 30. If one team win over another with the score 16:1 and in another match it is 16:14, its just like in MR15, if one match ends with 29:1 and another 16:14. The organisers didn't think this well.
