Cloud9 take revenge on Na`Vi

Cloud9 are through to the semi-finals of the FACEIT League 2015 Stage 2 after seeing off Natus Vincere 16-14.

The Upper Bracket final of Group A brought a rematch of the ESWC final, with de_cobblestone, a map that was not played in the title decider in Montreal, being the battleground.

The first couple of rounds were extremely contested as rounds kept going back and forth, but an amazing AWP ace by Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham - his second of the day - in the sixth round broke Na`Vi's economy and gave Cloud9 room to build up their bank.

The North American side would go on to take the score to 6-3, when a triple kill from Egor "flamie" Vasilyev put Na`Vi back in the game. The two teams then traded round for round until the end of the half, with Cloud9 claiming a narrow 8-7 lead going into the CT side.

Cloud9 through to the last-four stage

A quad kill from Sean "seang@res" Gares in the pistol round allowed Cloud9 to grow their lead, and the North Americans remained in the driving seat for many more rounds, forcing Na`Vi to call a timeout when they were down 7-14.

The pep talk produced immediate effect as Na`Vi reduced the deficit to three rounds, but the CIS-based side surprisingly faltered at the final hurdle, against an ecoing Cloud9 side, when they were about to take the game to overtime.

No Na'Vi took a timeout first and didn't get anything accomplished Then c9 paused and asked Na'Vi what starix was doing lurking around their area Didn't matter much in this game imo other than ruining c9's momentum but could be potentially dangerous for future events if teams are able to ghost like this

i'm just trying to figure out what round it happened in. i thought navi took their time out when c9 already had 14 rounds. my main question is if he walked to the bathroom during a pause and happened to pass by c9 or if he got up during the match and walked over there if starix was walking around while rounds were being played then that honestly to me is an instant gtfo and dont come back.

Kind of expected something like this VP or Na'vi will go out in groups due to bo1 format. I hope c9 can actually perform in bo3 against a team that isn't Envy otherwise will be a waste of a spot.

Ska is such an impressive awper. There are not many who are on par with him. He nearly never whiffs any shots, calm and smart as fuck. Hoping to see C9-NaVi in the finals with some good awp battles. There is no doubt that Ska is no1 awp at the moment.

Love how you guys act like the BO3 a couple days ago with C9/Na'Vi didn't come down to the wire. It was literally a split second decision that saved Na'Vi's ass from OT. IMO, and the stats can back it up so far, C9 and Na'Vi are pretty damn even teams.

You are being a hypocrite. You just told C9 fans to "Comeback when you win Na'Vi in BO3" yet after I mention the very close game between C9 and Na'Vi, you say "a win is a win, stop whining...come find me when you win a final." So if I'm not mistaken then the BO1 C9 took from Na'Vi should totally count, according to your logic in your second post. Also, yes, NA hasn't won a CSGO major but that doesn't mean C9 isn't one of the top teams in the world right now. Along with Na'Vi

Is that all you have to say? I was trying to argue a valid point here and if I'm not mistaken, I think I just won. :)

If im not mistaken its a major format, you win 2 and you're through to playoffs, you lose 2 and you're out.

JW can't stand out as an individual, he needs his team behind him. Ska and Guardian tho, they're making plays left and right. Ska had 2 aces just today. Top 3 AWPers Worldwide: 1. Guardian/Skadoodle 2. Skadoodle/Guardian 3. JW

Thorin said it himself. Recently, JW has relied much on his team to support him so he can get frags. Ska and Guardian on the other hand, as of recent <keywords, have been performing phenomenally in situations where they are at the disadvantage.
