Gamers2 release team

The future of Gamers2's CS:GO team had been in doubt since Jacek "⁠MINISE⁠" Jeziak took to Facebook to reveal that he refused to play alongside Mikołaj "⁠mouz⁠" Karolewski again following a shock Round of 16 exit at the Plonsk eSport Challenge.

It appears that morale in the Polish team had hit a new low after they failed to qualify for ESL One Cologne despite the help of former ESC Gaming player Mariusz "⁠Loord⁠" Cybulski - who agreed to coach the players ahead of the qualifier for the major.

In their official statement, Gamers2 cite the team's lack of consistency over the months and the recent internal problems as the reason to pull the plug on the squad, which they had supported for almost six months.

"We would like to thank all the players who represented Gamers2 for their service and wish them the best of luck in the future," a statement from Gamers2 read.

"A special word of thanks also goes to Mariusz “Loord” Cybulski, who truly showed the attitude and the professionalism that made him a champion during his playing career, and to our Polish fans, who proved why they are among the most passionate out there."

The Spanish organisation added that it will continue involved with the CS:GO scene and is currently "hard at work finding another roster" to "break into the scene again with full force when the time is right."

Meanwhile, Paweł "⁠innocent⁠" Mocek took to Twitter revealed on Twitter that roster changes may take place in the team, who are now free to sign for another organisation.
