Casters for IEM Gamescom revealed

ESL has revealed the talent lineup for the CS:GO tournament at IEM Gamescom.

Five teams from Europe and one from North America will pit their wits from August 5-8 at Intel Extreme Masters Gamescom, the first event of the current IEM season to feature Counter-Strike.

A total of $85,000 will be on offer in this tournament, which will use a last-man standing format in which every team is assigned four lives, which will be deducted one by one after a defeat. Match winners then get to choose which two teams will play next.

seemingly my math skills have failed me yet again i bow down to ur superior intelligence so now that we have cleared up that the casters are in fact SEVEN there's basically a caster for each team + pansy this event doesn't need more than 2 casters considering it has only 6 teams. even a major doesn't need more than 4 casters anders + miller rest can leave the room observers are fine hosts aren't that important if they want to add extra staff they could have added an analyst but they seemingly aren't aiming at looking good and professional

Natu is the analyst, he's not going to really do a play by play cast. Although, i would agree that 7 casters are too many, 2 casters(anders and joe for example) plus 2 or 1 analysts(lets say natu and thorin, just cuz i love thorin) and one host(machine or Scoots) whould be enough.

I think the fact that there could be 23 matches between the six teams is why there's more than 2 casters. Resting their voices and keeping the stream fresh is good, however we don't need 7 casters. To add rationality to hltv threads ( :O ) i have to point out thatthis will be the first iem for a long while for cs so give them time to fix things. Hopefully someone involved reads hltv/reddit to see what the fans think :)

Pansy is fine as long as she sticks to play-by-play but Natu tries to do way too much analysis and says a whole lot of nothing. And I don't really care about the desk host, I mean it's cool when it's Scoots or someone really good, but they're not terribly relevant anyways.

For those who have no clue , Ander & Semmler did a great job But joe miller & redeye are godlike and got more experience at casting . And let's talk 2 Min about chobra : Chobra who is this gguy ? This guy was basicly the translator for OGN ( translate while Doa & Monte Cristo was casting LoL Korea). But when one of theese casters wasnt there like it was few month ago (coaching clg) He replace temporary and totally killed the stream . he was soo good at casting . And see now he is host for dota 2 international & Iem csgo ALl of that within 1 year I don't know how much knowledge he got on csgo , let's see

Machine is actually the best in his role. Glad to see him here. -Miller -Deman -Pansy -Kaplan I used to like Pansy, but then her mistakes just pissed me too much. It's ok to make mistakes sometimes, but she is trying so hard to cover up her mistakes that I feel embarassed when it happens.
