eLevate have announced the release of its CS:GO roster, a lineup which the organisation only recently consolidated.

The new eLevate lineup was put together following a cycle of players moving around amongst North American teams after the ESL ESEA Pro League finals.

The team managed an impressive run at the ESL One North American qualifier, however they ended up losing the semi-final for a major spot to Cloud9.

Xp3 is left teamless

Following the disbandment or releasing of several other North American teams, such as Nihilum and Tempo Storm, it seems that eLevate are next on the chopping block, with the organisation announcing an "indefinite hiatus" from the CS:GO scene.

The move however was not decided at a top-down level, and is instead the result of "personnel on the team deciding to go separate ways," with the further elaboration that three players are moving towards a sponsorless team.

The "Sponsorless" team in question, at least as seen in tonight's RGN Pro Series match, appears to comprise a mix of players from the previous eLevate and Tempo Storm lineups:

Damian "⁠daps⁠" Steele
Ronnie "⁠ryx⁠" Bylicki
William "⁠RUSH⁠" Wierzba
Keith "⁠NAF⁠" Markovic

David "⁠Xp3⁠" Garrido and Adam "⁠aKis⁠" Kisseberth, meanwhile, have been released on free agency by the organisation. In a statement on the decision, eLevate CEO Brandon "MaDDoG" Hatfield elaborated:

"This move is certainly not one that we wanted to make but we understand the decision the players made to split and do what they thought was best for them in the long run. We are saddened to have made the decision to be out of the CS:GO scene for awhile; Counter-Strike was our first foray into professional eSports and has immense value, so we sincerely hope to get back into it within a few months. However, we think that our decision today will strengthen us as an organization and allow us to focus on other endeavors. I wish all the guys from the team the best of luck and will definitely see them at upcoming events!"

In addition, player daps added:

"Unfortunately, things with eLevate didn't work out for NAF, RUSH, and I, even with the small amount of success we had as a team over the past month. I would like to thank eLevate for supporting us for the past month as well as Brandon and Ray [Arsenault, COO] for understanding the reasons for us wanting to leave the team for something new."

now they will put papers with the names of players w/o orgs, fold them, and pick randomly five, forming the new Maximum Effort Ez Pez lineup. HTLV will post here that they are looking for a new sponsor to earn money while performing horrible at big tournaments.

+1 I'm not hating on the U.S. Scene or anything, but kinda feel it wouldn't matter how many times you switch these players around and chop and change teams, they won't make another successful team out of them that can do anywhere near the damage c9 can.

Individual player skill is not an issue in na, it's team chemistry, so, in theory,if the players move around until they find players they enjoy playing with and have good chemistry with, like cloud9, they will be very successful.

does it matter elevate wasnt good enough on an international level so who cares if random invite players hop around. It's not like CLG, C9, or Liquid are making massive changes.

That is the attitude of every single player who will never win LAN. You think these C9 players jumped straight into an internationally viable quad from match making? They all grafted for years in lesser teams, just like eLevate... The real question is, would they have been good enough to compete internationally in 12-18 months? We will never know, because people want short terms success and are too lazy to commit.

Yea except they have made changes every season and have gotten progressively worse since the height of their team when IBP and c9 were at the top of NA and Elevate/Denial(LTK?(Now Liquid)) were fighting for 3rd in NA. Elevate didn't have potential, so it doesn't matter, they would never win a lan against NA or International opponents. In their current roster they didn't have the promise that nith(pre-hiko) or TS had. The TS roster had a lot of promise and work ethic but NA is stupid as the players would rather make easy money signing for a mediocre invite team than try for results on an international level. Until NA gets some good IGL's and some skilled players that have a drive for wanting to be the best, NA Invite will continue to be a shit show minus the current top 3. Ex-TS could become on par with the top 3 of NA if their new signings have the drive to practice, but at the end of the day NA's only hopes are c9 or IBP getting unbanned.

its not the first time shahzam carries a tier 3 NA team against eu teams. Remember Esea before he joined C9? Of course he can carry a team. It like carrying a dead moose. You wont get far when you have a shitty team. He had the opportunity to play in a great team he was absolute trash. Conclusion? Shahzam has to feel superior than anyone else... When he's in a team where he has to play certain positions he sucks balls. Shahzam has to be in a team where they consider him as a god and let him do whatever. The only team where a player can do whatever he wants is fnatic with jw. But Shahzam doesnt have the skills to be like jw. Shahzam is just a pugstar

lets be honest, how many people can you call igl in NA? other than SeanGares and maybe recently Cutler i dont find any players out there that can consistently read their opponents. Oh and of course DaZeD and steel that can read their opponents too

Well, i don't see why. Schneider played with Fnatic when Olof had surgery not long time ago and he did well against big teams. He also stand in for Kinguin after a few rounds of de_train against Mousesports, and ended up topfragging with 26-15. Twist have showed he still got it, you can check how consistent he is here: hltv.org/?pageid=246&statsfilter=4&playe.. Delpan was only because i coudn't think of someone else, since Dennis seems to be happy in Kinguin. Even that i was joking, a team like this could be somewhere close to top10, which isn't bad.
